People like you are actually such a gem. We need more if this in my generation. Instead if religious people and atheists arguing with each other they should try and synergies those meanings. You're living proof that what really devides people is just the way concepts must decent human being cam agree on are explained. I hope one day humanity can bridge this gap.

Dear Rabbi, I admire your ability to explain so well in detail and your vocabulary is absolutely superb,
you are a very learned person.
I have too been pondering into what is a soul, I haver always felt that I am is not my body but something which is more like a invisible entity living inside my physical body made of blood flesh and bones, but I feel that our soul is more than this blood and flesh and bones, Soul is the driving force or guiding force to our body, on its own a body may be completely useless, but it is essential for our soul to have one in order to experience a physical existence, without a body a soul cannot express its feelings , its emotions, or plan anything or do anything in a physical world.
So a soul which I believe is not only an invisible energy of some sort, but also an extension of or a tiny fraction of God's supreme energy, is the life giving force to a body of blood flesh and bones,
We (our soul) has been given this wonderful opportunity by our creator to experience life in a physical or material world housed in a body of flesh, it is only then our soul can experience and taste different things through our physical senses, we hear, we can speak through our body (mouth) we can see visible light, and things and colours and so on, we have sense of pain, hunger, touch, and depending on that our soul enjoys many wonderful food dishes, smell of nice food, our soul feels so good when it smells nice aromas, and so on, on the other hand we also smell nasty things that puts us off, our soul dislikes unpleasant smells, it dislikes pain, and hunger, it dislikes cold, or too hot, all of this our soul experiences through our body's sensory organs and it creates emotions, we can see people die and we feel sad, how do we see people die, we hear about them, we see their funeral, we see them being sick or gravely ill, this stirs our soul's emotions, its feelings, etc.
However, question is where in the body does soul reside, is not important, but what is important is that it has firm control over our body, as long as our body is healthy, if we suffer a stroke, and part of our body becomes paralysed, our soul cannot accomplish or control that part of that body so becomes part disabled, it cannot control part of that body that has suffered a damage through a stroke.
Science does not believe in a soul, it thinks that our brain is responsible for our emotions, and feelings, and it is due to imbalance of hormones etc, but their argument does not convince me. I strongly believe that our brain is an Interface device between our body and and our soul, brain also stores all our life long experiences in its memory, often we have forgotten some of our experiences we had as we age, we have memory of faces of people we had met or encountered in our life, those images remain in our brain, our soul can also remember our earthly experiences to a greater or lesser extent, it is during trauma of a death that the memory in most souls gets erased, some may remember their past lives, most of us cannot, this could be due to trauma some people have claimed to have been reborn and remember their past life, so we cannot dismiss that a soul does not retain some memory, but it may be that a soul wishes to erase its past experiences and start afresh, with a clean slate, however our Heavenly father who created us would still be able to read all our entire life experiences from our soul, we may not remember but they are imbedded within and only He can erase it and wipe it clean if he so desires to erase or retain.
feel that our brain is an Interface organ, with which our soul is connected, so all our thoughts and desires are that of our soul, but for it to reside in a healthy body, it has responsibility to look after this body, so it must maintain and safeguard this body if our soul wants to continue to reside in this one time chance we are given to experience material life, a Soul by itself is a spiritual being, it does not need anything to survive, it cannot be destroyed nor can it be created, as it is part of a creator that is eternal, when we feel good our creator feels good too, when we feel sad our creator feels sad too, since we are merely his extension, just as a mother would feel hurt when her child falls and gets injured, mother would feel child's pain and suffering.
So our brain is an Interface organ that connects our soul and translates its thoughts into electrical signals which brain can then control our body, so if we feel like walking or running, as our soul might be desiring to exercise or to sight seeing a new scenery, it would command our body to get going, if body on the other hand feels tired or hungry, it signals to the brain, which in turn portrays the hunger message to the Soul, and soul then starts thinking what is the best way to kill that hunger, so we head for McDonalds, that is provided our Soul has learned that such outlet exists in the near vicinity,
So Brain looks after certain essential body functions autonomously, it does not require a conscious input from our soul, our body needs fuel (food) which our soul can guide it to get it, and body also needs water and aging our brain get to know this first and then summons our Soul to take body to a water source, but it does not need to tell soul that it needs air, as air is everywhere so it simply autonomously breath oxygen and expel carbon dioxide unconsciously, autonomously, so we can indeed say that our soul is our conscious and is not a product of function of brain,.
So our body is a biological tool, that our soul can use to take it to places and experience new things, or visit other places it has visited and enjoyed, take our body to a holiday paradise, free from everyday stress, now we all know to keep us alive, our body needs shelter, roof, heat and water and energy, food etc, so we must earn our daily bread and have enough money to buy food, pay bills and own a car and go places.
Our body gets tired, it needs rest to recover, if we do not provide it rest our body can deteriorate and suffer ill health, which is going to be bad news for our soul, if body dies, or malfunctions, our soul will no longer benefit from staying attached to it, it would be purpose less, pointless, so our soul is not going to hang around a dead body which refuses to translate commands our soul gives it through the interface organ our brain.
We or our soul learns to protect this valuable body, when it gets sick we decide to visit a doctor, if we don't we risk loosing it, then what? we might not get another body like this, on the other hand we might attach our self to another body of flesh, that body could be that of an animal, who knows, or it could be another human body. or it may simply go back to its source our creator.

What's the difference between the soul and the spirit?

    • @henriettaabeyta1457
      @henriettaabeyta1457 ปีที่แล้ว

Soul = Inner Voice heard while trying to think things through more commonly known as an attitude, Heart = Inner emotions easily seen in self-expressions of life, Spirit = Personal conscience of right and wrong guiding / advising so you have more of a chance to gain self-acceptance respecting your own values sure you know your purpose of life. You could think of the spirit as your invisible path leader that says follow me while soul stays within. What we say and we consider important are two separate parts of us.
Plus the hidden facts of historical supernatural spirits.

Marriage = two as one = belonging to a larger Whole that is ever greater than the sum of it's differentiations/extensions/constituents, a diversified/differentiated unity or Continuum of Being, actualizing as a unified diversity or Uni-verse of experience.

Soul. God is a Spirit and the soul is the living potential of God. The soul’s demand for free will and her separation from God resulted in the descent of this potential into the lowly estate of the flesh. Sown in dishonor, the soul is destined to be raised in honor to the fullness of that God-estate which is the one Spirit of all Life. The soul can be lost; Spirit can never die.
The soul remains a fallen potential that must be imbued with the reality of Spirit, purified through prayer and supplication, and returned to the glory from which it descended and to the unity of the Whole. This rejoining of soul to Spirit is the alchemical marriage that determines the destiny of the self and makes it one with immortal Truth. When this ritual is fulfilled, the highest Self is enthroned as the Lord of Life and the potential of God, realized in man, is found to be the All-in-all.

Those who are lost in the Babylonian exile think that the Soul is spiritual because they have no holding in Eretz Yisrael. Soul is Soil. It is as actual as actual can be.
      SOUL/SOIL/SOL/SOLE

Sukkot are not temporary shacks to sit in for seven days on the Babylonian calendar. It is an eternal Holy Day in our Eternal Holy Land

What we call ‘I’, ‘you’, ‘he’, ‘she’, etc. are not the visible physical body! On the contrary, it is the soul (Nafs). The body is the vehicle for carrying the soul. It is an earthen ‘frame’ or ‘mold’ developed by the Supreme Creator by mixing the sperm of the father and ovum of the mother. When Adam (the first man) was created, the entire soul of mankind till the Last Day was created from the single soul in the Paradise itself. So the soul of all mankind is the one as explained in verses 4: 1 and 7: 189. Taking out their progeny which exists till the Last Day from the napes of Adam’s children, the Creator took a covenant from each one asking: “Am I not your Lord, the Owner?” Then each of them replied: “Of course, we do witness”. By doing this everybody admitted that the Authority for giving the rules and regulations for the entire mankind is Lord Allah only. Afterward, they were sent back to the nape of Adam as explained in verses 7: 172-173. This is the first death of everyone mentioned in verses 2: 28 and 40: 11.
Swearing by the apparent six facts verses 91: 1-6: “Sun and the hot light; the consequent moon and reflecting light; the appearance of the bright day; the darkening of the night; the canopied sky; the shaped Earth like an ostrich’s egg”, the Lord says in verses 91: 7-10: “He evenly balanced the soul and gave its Criterion Adhikr (false way and good way). Then whoever purifies it will prosper, while whoever neglects it will fail. That means whoever fulfills the covenant made with the Lord in this world, he will only prosper. So the believer lives here always declaring by the soul that “I am none” and “nothing belongs to me”. Verse 76: 3 says: “Indeed, We gave the man freedom to select either the way of grateful or ungrateful. In verse 90: 10 it is told: "Then we guided the man in two ways, one to the Hell and the other to the Paradise". Thus Lord became Impartial by teaching the human Adhikr which contains the ways of the Satan (falsehood) and the way of the Lord (Truth) from the Paradise itself as told in verses 55: 1-4. As told in verse 10: 100, no one becomes a believer without the Permission of the Lord (Adhikr). Therefore, everyone must confirm that he or she whether grateful or ungrateful by utilizing Adhikr.

This is so true! These days many people who are stuck in feelings of chronic loneliness or depression. Maybe even feeling suicidal. Hollow. Drained. I wondered if theu feel that way because they are either cut off from the energy of God or G-d or the universe or Allah. In a secular explanation i would say its kind like being cut of our own purpose and from you better qualities. Im agnostic, but I still try to be my life well. They way I see it, in practical terms it doesn't matter if its real or a story. The meaning of these stories is something someone semi secular should look into and explore. Recently I've been feelingsime kind if energy though, that's definitely not me. I just wonder if its God or hope; or both? It feels good though. Like some thung us feeding my soul. No other ways of putting it. Weird, but nice hahaha 😆

Our soul doesn't belong to individuals, dear. Our soul is shared, it can't be within one single person. It's an ever-evolving collective! Our soul doesn't die, its effects live on. Bringing more anxiety to others, way passed our death. So yeah, YOU (a collective soul) still feel anxiety after your body is recycled. Good emotions live on the same way, no different. Think very carefully what effects on the World you wish to create, since you're leaving this planet to them, to carry on. Nobody truly dies, dear.
