Awesome review Sean, completely agree with your assessments and when to use these jackets! I also love to use my Nano Air (non hoody) as a mid layer when I’m riding lifts - seems to me the best mid layer I have ever found, warm but not too warm, and is comfortable in a wide range of conditions. Take care, time for us to go sliding on snow!
Hey Paul! Great way to use the Nano Air jacket. No double hood action :) I am loving the snow we are getting this week! Time to get up there for sure :)
From experience, the only one that has significant breathability is the Nano Air. The shell is airy, as well as the insulation, which is a key factor. The Nano & Micro shells are much tighter woven.
To clarify, is the Nano Air Hybrid that’s teased the same as Nana Air Light Hybrid? Fantastic video getting into the weeds just enough to decipher the similarities and differences in the Nano Air and Micro Puff!
Hi Sean, I've been wearing a Patagonia Nano Puff, size large, for a long time. I seem to need a slightly larger jacket now... I'm looking into getting the Micro Puff. Do they fit the same? I think I barely need a larger size, but I think the arm length won't be right. Hope that makes sense. Thanks!
Hey! I have not had a Nano Puff for a few years, so I dont 100% recall how it compares to fit. But if memory serves, I feel like the Nano was more boxy and regular fit. The Micro is a tad more trim. I wish you could try them on side by side. I would hate to misadvise! Take care!
I've heard mixed reports on warmth between the nano and micro puff. The micro has more insulation but apparently the nano can feel warmer sometimes because of the thicker denier in the outer fabric. Also, is the micro noticeably more breathable than the nano? Thanks!
@@Engearment Thanks! But in terms of breathability, how would you rate the Nanopuff vs. Micropuff? I don't have a Nano air but my reference is the nano.
The sleeves on the nano air look wayyyy too baggy! Jesus, nobody with a body frame to fit that jacket is going to have arms that big or flabby! Was it made from a circus tent or what? Lol!😂 The puffy looks good tho. I'm looking into allot of Patagonia gear now. Still haven't found a decent puffy that fits me right & it's been a full year of looking for one.
I agree, the sleeves are like bat wings LOL. Have you tried on the Nano Puff yet? It seems to have the most boxy cut of the Patagonia jackets. You may also want to look into Truewerk clothing. They make good workwear that has a good amount of stretch to it. Hope you find the perfect jacket soon!
Best news is that the Macro is finally back on sale on the US Patagonia Store. Best one of the three.

Appreciate these updated reviews on specific jackets 🤝
Net plus is such a good idea

Yep! I agree with that. The Nano Air breaths very well. I belve 35-40CFM depending on the year. The Micro Puff is meant to be warmer for the weight.

*Nano Air Light Hybrid
Thank you! 🙌. Yes, that is correct

Hello! The Nano Air is more breathable than the Micro Puff (in my opinion). The Micro is warmer as well.

@@ChenProductionsCo Oh sorry! I missed that. I think the Micro is slightly more breathable. Take care
