Brings back great memories. My mother did seamstress work and I often watched but I could never grasp how to do it. You did a wonderful job and clearly... the star of the video liked it , so that is what matters most.
Thank you! It honestly takes me (JZ) a lot of brain power to sew something correctly. The precision needed is akin to that needed in baking - it's a science, not an art (and I'm not that good at science lol). However, with enough measuring and planning and really helpful tools, sewing projects sometimes turn out alright! I'm so glad you like it. :)
Hello, i like the dog crate cover. good idea. You did a good job. Congratulations. Thank you for sharing. See you. Stay healthy and happy. Big greetings. Mehmet.
Great projects guys, the cushion looks super comfy too!! Couple of firsts for me here, never seen an iron that small or a pizza wheel for fabric! 😂Thanks for sharing!
Awesome! I have a 42" crate and the cover is $30! I think I can find myself a cheap fabric on sale and spend much less just sewing it! And hopefully it's a cute design as well!
I'm guessing you used 60 inch wide material and then used the selvage to make up the inch for the crate. What material did you use and is it pretty breathable?
Hey! That sounds about right on the measurements. This is a lightweight decor fabric - it’s breathable enough without letting in too much light. With the back flap, the corners stay slightly open, and we never roll the front down, so there’s plenty of air circulation. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the feedback (and for watching)! As we’re not super technical on the sewing side, we’ve always found how much to allow for seams to be a personal decision. That’s why we did this one by feel and kept putting the fabric on the crate to determine where to sew. 😉
Thank you for a great and pleasant video! Can’t wait to surprise my dog :)
I hope your pup loves it! 😁
Exactly the video i have been searching for ! Will b recreating soon
Yay! Let us know how it turns out!😁
Awww such a cute pup and he seems to really enjoy the projects you make☺️

What a great idea! We’ve been using towels and blankets for our dogs crate as well. Might have to give this a try.
Awesome! Towels are quite effective, but a cover is quite handy. Let us know if you give it a try!
A great video! Thank you!
Thank you!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching. 😄
Roadie is so cute.
Nice work.
Thanks so much, Andy!
Love this pattern. So easy!
Thank you! We’re glad you like it! 😄

Mehmet.
Thank you so much!
Great project, and cute dog!
Thank you SO much! We're glad you (and Roadie) like it!!
I plan on making this plus a bumper for the inside too. So its super cosy. Like a cot bumper. Something to rest her head against.
That sounds like it will be awesome! I’m sure she will love it. Let us know how it turns out!

Hahaha. The pizza wheel and mini iron make for quick work. 😂 Thanks for watching!
Beautiful! Your dog's bed looks comfier than mine. Thanks for sharing:-)
Oh thank you - so glad you like it! He’s definitely spoiled. 😉
Love it! Thank you so much!❤
Thank you!
Amazing!
Thanks!
What kind of fabric did you use? Thank you so much this is perfect and make the kennel look good with furniture.
She said it was outdoor decor fabric .😁

Oh yay! We’re glad this was helpful. Let us know how yours turns out!
Very nice! Tyfs
Thanks for watching! We’re glad you like it. 😄
Thanks!
Thank you for checking us out!
Thank you for this video. I love your crate cover. Is that about 6yards of fabric cause I have an xl crate
Thanks so much! We can’t remember exactly how much fabric this was, but definitely less than 6 yards. This is a 24” crate.
Ok thank you.
Just wanted to say again thank you so much for your video. I just finally made my cover, and it is gorgeous! Wish I could send you a pic. Of it. ❤
The ribbon is bit tricky. If you only sewed it on the one side, how do you tie it up?
Hi there! We sewed is through the seam so it’s on both sides.
I'm guessing you used 60 inch wide material and then used the selvage to make up the inch for the crate. What material did you use and is it pretty breathable?

What size was crate used in the video
Hey! It’s a 24” crate
It would be great if you could add some measurements in - like how much extra on top of the crate size to account for seam allowance etc
Thanks for the feedback (and for watching)! As we’re not super technical on the sewing side, we’ve always found how much to allow for seams to be a personal decision. That’s why we did this one by feel and kept putting the fabric on the crate to determine where to sew. 😉
This is amazing. Can you tell me what kind of fabric did you use for the crate cover? Looks nice and thick
So glad you like it! This is outdoor upholstery fabric. 😉
@@JustMightDIY ohhh! Thanks. No wonder it looks so sturdy! I will give it a try. 😘
Awesome! ❤️ Let us know how it turns out.
How many yards did you use?
We used approximately 2 yards for the cover itself.
🎉❤🎉 Thanks
Thank YOU for watching!
What size is this crate??
It’s a 24” crate.
👏
👍
A little too fast , wanting to see more on how you attach the bias , beautiful cover
Thanks for checking us out. Sorry that it was too fast. Hope you found something to help
My dog literally rips anything I use as a crate covering or pulls it in and it’s just the most frustrating thing in the world
Oh no! So sorry to hear that. Roadie loves his crate. 🐶
