Basically I was making cold calls to people at home telling them about a sale at a big, local furniture store. Yes, my soul died a bit during those few days but I did what I had to do. During that time I inadvertently told that joke. I was robotically running through the sales script in a fake cheerful voice and getting hung up on until I called this woman. Me: “Hi, this is B from Wick’s furniture store!” Woman: “Wick’s?
