    For Non-Believers outside Christianity... Justification of "FAITH" (alone/only) by the Grace of God, comes "First" by Belief and Acceptance of Jesus is the Son of God and Messiah/Christ, then by Repentance, and Baptism before the Justification of Good Work/Deed (Charity of Love) that is pleasing in the Eyes/Sight of God begins/starts... Amen.

    If it is by faith alone, what can grace have to do with it?

    • @crossdriven
      @crossdriven  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Perhaps a more accurate wording which shows the relationship between grace and faith would be that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, and for God’s glory alone. Furthermore, Furthermore, we learn this and are convinced by scripture alone.

    • @derrickpurdy7011

      @@crossdriven I'd bother explaining that by faith alone by definition excludes grace but what would be the point?

    • @crossdriven
      @crossdriven  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@derrickpurdy7011 Grace and faith are two different categories. They are not mutually exclusive. Grace is the unmerited or undeserving favor of God to those who are under condemnation. Faith is trust or reliance upon the object of your trust.
      Even though we use the word “alone” we are referring to alone in that particular category. When we say “grace alone” we are referring to salvation as the gift of God which God grants due to his love and mercy, and apart from any merit on our part. When we say “faith alone” we are referring to the fact that we can only access this grace by faith in Christ. When we say in “Christ alone “ we are again referring to the fact that this grace, this faith is based on Christ alone, not Buddha or any other person. Each of these are different categories; that is why they can each be classified as alone.
      Suppose your uncle bought you a round trip airline ticket as a graduation present, but with these stipulations: the ticket is for HAWAII ALONE, for the month of JULY ALONE, and can be used on AMERICAN AIRLINES ALONE. These also are not mutually exclusive.

    • @derrickpurdy7011
      @derrickpurdy7011 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@crossdriven I can understand that. Can you further clarify why you just don't say by grace through faith?

    • @crossdriven
      @crossdriven  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@derrickpurdy7011 Good question! I could say by grace through faith. That would be an accurate and true statement. The reason why we sometimes use the word “alone” is because we don’t want anyone to mistakenly think that salvation is by faith plus something else. It is not faith plus baptism or faith plus good deeds. It is only through faith. Baptism and good deeds are good, but they are the fruit of salvation. They are the overflow of a life that is being changed by God. However, we cannot earn eternal life by our good deeds. They are the fruit of our salvation, not the root.

      Rom 4:5 is speaking of works of the Law specifically King David's forgiveness without animal sacrifice.
      It is not talking of Good works because St Paul has just said Faith must uphold the Law.
      Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.(rom 3:31)
      You need to read the bible not just proof texts

    It doesn't matter what Paul says. You can't just create a new religion. Sins are atoned through Repentance alone. Faith in a dying Messiah is not required to atone for sins.

      @@crossdriven No I'm Jewish, but what Paul said is still true. Paul was teaching what is called the Noahide Gospel from Genesis 9. These are for gays, Mormons, Muslims, etc. It's to avoid hell, but doesn't let you enter the Kingdom.
      These laws are binding to all gentiles as ruled by the Sanhedrin court.
      Many Christians don't realize God told us to establish courts and listen to their decisions. (Exodus 18:21-22, Numbers 11:16-17, 11:24-25; Deuteronomy 1:15-18, 17:9-12)
      You don't have to believe all of the Talmud. Lots of crazy rabbis. Only 10% of the Talmud called the Sanhedrin you must believe, and it makes Christianity perfect sense, even for a Jew.
      As long as you do Repentance then you are fine as a Christian. Deifying the Messiah is not idolatry because our own Rabbis already did that lol.
      It doesn't really matter who you want to think the Jewish Messiah is. There isn't even one commandment to believe in the Messiah when he comes. All you need to do is Repentance to YHVH.

      @@jewishmgtowinthejungle1259 Nobody can follow the law 100%. Nobody can keep all the commandments all the time. Therefore, you’re guilty before the law.
      I mean this with all due respect but one of the saddest things in the world are Jews that are still waiting for The Messiah.
      All false religions, Judaism included, place a responsibility on the individual to earn his salvation, which is absolutely impossible.
      True salvation is a gift that cannot be earned.
      You’ve heard this before and perhaps you’ve rolled your eyes but I pray that God reveals Himself to you through His son Jesus Christ. He is the only way that your sins can be forgiven.

    The people that rejected Paul, are still around today. They will reject this truth and rely on their works. Not realizing that by enjoying this truth their works will multiply 100x and they will be pure, instead of selfish motives to please God by your dirty rags, and dung works. They will ignore Paul’s letters and pull a few verses out of James. Paul always confronted people that came from Peter, James and John (read Galatians) because they did not have the revelation of the mystery, the salvation of gentiles. The revelation was given to PAUL only, the other guys didn’t even know gentiles could be saved by faith in Jesus. Read acts when Peter had a dream about killing and eating because it has been made clean.
    Peter after receiving the Holy Ghost started mixing grace with works, Paul confronted him in front of James, and the rest of the “pillars”. Peter received the confrontation as coming from the Lord himself.
    As for me and my family we will hold this truth for dear life, it is the life line of a believer. Not so that sin may abound, but so that fruits of righteousness may abound, which is the will of the Lord for all.

    John 5:29/paraphrased..." those who did the Good DEEDS/WORKS/ACTS to a Resurrection of Life, and those committed the Bad Deeds/Works/Acts to a Resurrection of Judgment."...
    This means that Faith in Christ thru the Grace of God needs/requires good Deeds/Works/Acts (like the Acts of the Apostles) in order to be saved... Does Good Deeds/Works/Acts required in our Faith for Salvation... 100% YES... w/o good works/Deeds/Acts (Charity of Love to thy neighbors/foes alike), is just a Dead Faith or a Worthless/False Faith (James 2)... Amen.

    Another re-gurgitation of Martin Luther's "faith alone" heresy, completely ignoring the apostle James:
    ■ "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
    Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
    Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
    And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
    Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, *_and not by faith only."_* (James 2:20-24)

      "Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness." Abraham was justified before God by faith, but this faith produces works.

    • @TheBibleSays
      @TheBibleSays 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@crossdriven Abraham was deemed a *_believer_* and was *_justified_* because of his "works": he acted on his faith and obeyed God . . . *_"and not by faith only":_*
      ■ "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only." (James 2:24)
      Even after understanding God's promises Abraham *_could_* have said to himself, "Well, that's nice, but I prefer to stay in the comforts of home." That would have been DEAD faith. What did Abraham do? He chose to obey (Hebrews 11:8) and that's what made Him a *_believer._*
      Paul wrote that Abraham was justified "by faith" . . . which seems to directly contradict James' "and not by faith only." The problem here is that Paul's "by faith" is misunderstood to mean *just by **_having_** faith.*
      As James pointed out, that's not a correct understanding. Abraham was not justified by "faith only."
      What we have here is an English-language problem: "BY faith" can be taken in two different ways:
      1.) "by faith" as in: by just having faith, or
      2.) "by faith" as in: *_by means of, or through faith._*
      By or *_through_* faith Abraham saw he had a real choice to make. In his case, he chose to obey.
      Today we come to saving grace by or *_"through"_* faith . . . NOT just because we _have_ faith:
      ■ "For by grace are ye saved *_through_* faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (Ephesians 2:8)
      Without faith - trust - that God exists and rewards, we could never see that we have a choice to make: to "come to God" on His terms, or, to walk away:
      ■ "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (Hebrews 11:6)
      It's *_coming to God_* that pleases Him . . . not faith alone! Faith is "the gift of God" to call us. Question is, will we answer the call and come to God? If not, then our faith is dead.
      So, Paul says "not by works" in several places. Once again we seem to have a conflict with James' "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only." (James 2:24)
      "Works" refers to different things. Works of the law. Good works or deeds done for others. Abraham's "works": his obedience.
      When Paul says "not by works" in Ephesians 2:9 the *_context_* is "good works" or deeds, as stated in the next verse, Ephesians 2:10.
      When Paul says "not by works" in Romans 3, 4 and 5 the *_context_* is "the works or deeds of the law. That context was established in Romans 3:20:
      ■ "Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin" (Romans 3:20)
      Unfortunately people take Paul's "not by works" *_out of context,_* then go on to assume *works of **_any_** sort don't matter* . . . but they are *_ignoring the works of Abraham._*
