I had 1. My first car.
I wanted a camaro , but my dad bought me the chevelle instead.
at first, I was disappointed, but after I drove it home , I was thrilled. Swivel buckets, factory 8 track, 4 sp , 350.
It was not fast, but it was loud and beautiful.
I wish I had never sold it

Be glad your father bought you a Chevelle instead of the Camaro in a certain way.....I wanted a Mustang.....................my father bought me a Pinto....then he refused to let me "build it how I wanted it"!!! I hated that car....and I never did put it on the road and drove the crap out of it in the field behind his house, until it died!! I hated that little car THAT MUCH!!

Love these cars.Everybody has to compare them to the earlier models,Why?They're beautiful cars in their own right.Nobody needs to be reminded they're not 2nd gen cars.Nice ride you have there.

73's had the best styling of the 73-77 generation, the year before the 5mph bumper

    • @willthetrill4849

True but thanks to the emissions regulations, and of course the gas crisis, compression ratios were dropped for unleaded fuel use so horsepower was way down. Since this car featured here is a 350 small block 4 barrel, it was originally 170 horsepower. But what’s great about these cars, they’re easy to make them go fast. Just gotta build up the engine and trans for high performance. Pretty much the type of performance you want

Of the Colonnade era Chevelle's the 1973 Chevelle was the only one I liked due to the rear taillights and they have the best looking front end's, there is a guy who owns a 1977 Chevelle Malibu down the street from me.
