If the future of dressage is to be secured then people like you need to be showcased more. You ride beautifully and with so much feel and thoughtful self enquiry about how and why you are doing the exercises, and then you can also explain it really well. 👌👏
For me, this is the best vlog you have done.. really shows your depth of understanding of horses and how you train them. I love the way you describe the horse as emotional and how you deal with the emotions...lovely soft training of a beautiful horse!
Really interesting, love hearing what you do and why and how you build their confidence through easy movements. I worried sometimes that buying a 5yr old in my 50s wasn’t sensible but like you said, I feel I wouldn’t have had the skills or sensitivity to have helped her grow if I’d got her when I was younger. I have lots to takeaway from this so thank you for sharing. Best vlog so far.
@@lynwillis-fleming8256 I’m with you. I’m in my 50s and have a 6yo that I bred. I definitely have more patience and understanding than I did in my younger days. Also more appreciation for the “journey” that producing a well educated and happy horse takes us on.
Another fabulous video. I’m probably going to watch this a few times to take it all in. Particularly love your advice for horses that are behind the leg. Your getting the forward without the rider exhaustion.
Henry, your training methods are so positive. That positive energy must give the horses you ride such confidence and trust in you. Is this horse called Belinsky ? Apologies if I got that wrong. He is stunning - his trot just floats around the arena. He also has such a beautiful outline and amazing halt🎉 Sadly my poor health prevents me from riding. But I wouldn't hesitate to send a horse to be trained by you. Fantastic vlog. Best wishes to you & India❤
Thank you! I have a mare training medium and starting some advanced work, very good exercise the half pass to travers on a circle 😊 will try that one. She can get a little behind the leg, and slow ETA, just heard the lady ask about jumping your horses. Do you do polework with them? And do you ride them out ?

Great Demo 💜 do you travel to do demos and clinics. I organise clinics at a couple of venues in Lancashire.
Really enjoy your vlogs

We don’t do any pole work but we do hack them out regularly. Would love to introduce some pole work but it’s just finding the time!
😊
@@boswelldressage oh yes absolutely 💯. Thanks for answering 🥰🇦🇺
Nice work!
How do we find out about your demos? Would love to attend. Are you based in Oxfordshire?
Yes we are based in Oxfordshire. This was a private demo for a dressage society. We will do more, keep an eye out on our social pages for more info 😊
