Top video Scott....I was going to do a jabiru kit, but then covid came along. My situation is a little different to most. I live in Thailand and haven't lived in Oz for over 22 years, but had been missing home, so thought if I decided to build an aircraft ( in Oz), then I would have to come home at least every few months for a month or so.....seemed like I'd be killing two birds with one stone.......won't be happening now though. Nevertheless, I still love watching aviation vids and appreciate this one, cheers
Hey Scott, thank you for this video! It was awesome! I just finished installing mine and took some videos along the way. Here is a link to them if you would like to check them out. th-cam.com/play/PLeYHza8F64inBLgoxicvSiPaoNxk3sDHa.html
Great info. After just a few minutes, many questions have been answered as the Jabby manuals are lacking in a few areas.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Scott I picked up a few nice ideas for my own FWF from your video. Thank you for posting.
Glad to help

Hi, was there any mods to do with the Tacho ? I’ve just received my engine and unpacked today.
No, nil mods. The yellow wire needs to be cut, from the voltage regulator plug or the charge light will always be on if you have one
Hi Scott would love to have a chat about jabiru s j160 as I have just purchased one and half way through my rec licence
Sure no problem.
Hi mate, great video. How did you go with the charge light? I have the same issue.
Sorry just saw this. I cut the yellow wire at the reg. So in effect no more charge light as per Jabiru recommendation.
Hi Scott, really great. You say 85 degrees is optimum, I assume you are talking oil temperature (Celcius). Sounds very low
Paul Woods 85 to 100 is optimal. Celsius, cheers
Hope these 4th Gen engines don't have the same reliability problems previous models had
guayaquilander Fantastic so far, Jabiru have done a great job in their product development. Lower maintenance as well.
Hi Scott, Just wanting to know after pretty much 12 months how has the engine performed?
Never missed a beat, awesome, I've ordered a 3300 for another project.
