  • Looking for the best cat litter deodorizers on the market? Here are a few that work. Remember that a good deodorizer should be the last step in your odor control program. Instead of relying on a deodorizer, set a strong foundation with a great litter box, good litter, and strong hygiene habits.

    I use an activated carbon pod that I stick to the wall above the box and I think it helps. But to be completely honest I think my entire setup is what helps. So if you're absolutely desperate to get rid of that "oh, you have a cat." Guest comment, try this: an enclosed cat furniture box. Pretty Litter. And the activated carbon. Pretty Litter isn't cheap but it's amazing. Not only do you not have to scoop pee, but it sucks the moisture out of poop and you literally can't even smell it. It's incredible.

    First, because of you we now have a Litter Robot 4. We’re on our third week with it and it’s been fantastic. Both cats took to it immediately. Second, we’ve been using baking soda in our Dr. Elseys litter for a long time now and it is amazing. I sprinkle a small amount every time I add litter. It works especially well in the litter robot because the sifting action keeps it well distributed. Cats seem totally fine with it. Thanks for your great channel!

    I tried the Rocco one and the scent is so strong for me. I end up sprinkling a bit into my litter genie because I hate smelling anything whenever I open the litter genie to clean up their litter. Works great.

    I'm just grateful that other than the occasional smelly poop (and that's maybe once or twice a week if that) at least to our noses there isn't much a smell. Daily cleaning and good diet go a long way.

    Zeolite and carbon are sold as aquarium additives and they're much, much cheaper than the cat odor product. 🤔I wonder if the aquarium products could be used for litter boxes.

    I like simple solutions to housekeeping problems, and this is accentuated by the fact that I am fully anosmic and have absolutely no idea how bad my cat's litter box might reekibg. How much baking soda does one need to add to achieve decent smell reduction? And how long does its effect last until more needs to be added to the mix? Thanks to anyone who could provide me with some insights.

    Cat friendly is always first. It's no use if humans love a product but it is really unpleasant for the cat. It'll be the perfect odour control because the cat won't do anything in the litter tray anymore (it's the rest of the house that's got a problem!)😺

    So my cat is about 8 years old. I assume you'd think it would be a mistake to introduce a kitten into his life? It kills me that he doesn't have a playmate / cat company. Would it be too exhausting for a cat his age?

      Hi! Sorry about the late reply. It's not necessarily a bad idea! My cat, Wessie, was an only cat until he was almost 6 years old, and having a feline friend has improved his life for the better! As long as you make a gradual introduction, I don't think it would be too exhausting.

    Hey there. I know this review is older, but I was wondering if you have any experience testing out the “smart” ion deodorizers like these two. They look like the same to me….
    Femi fresh and Downy Paws

    • @AllAboutCatsYT
      @AllAboutCatsYT  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I did purchase one for the test, but I wasn't comfortable putting it in my cats' litter boxes. Ionization introduces ozone into your cat's breathing air, which can potentially be harmful, and the products don't give much or any information on how they are assured safe for cats. Would skip these.

    • @cassidyfit1

    Are clumping litter safe for cats?

    • @AllAboutCatsYT
      @AllAboutCatsYT  ปีที่แล้ว

      Kinda. If they ingest a large amount of clumping clay litter as a kitten, there's some chance that it could lead to blockage, but this is very much a rare instance and not a common problem.
