Awesome looking table.
What a great looking table and models. Very inspirational. Love it!
great stuff not enough anywhere about this time, area etc. my dad fought in Kohima and beyond
My step-father, who served in India and Burma, told me that when the troops went into a village and were shot at, they would retreat out and the artillery would blast it. Don't know how CoC would replicate that.
I guess CoC is emulating those few minutes when they are first shot at.
Pretty much the same thing happened throughout the war. The Germans entering Poland in 1939 would advance as fast as possible, but if shot at from a village, would just back off and set all the wooden buildings alight with cannon and MG fire, followed if necessary by arty and Stuka raids.
Nice table
Sounds like a great game Alex and the table looks awesome. I thought Lard Island was a mythical place that only appeared at Easter to bestow gifts on wargamers only for it to disappear into legend for another year.
Cheers Paul, yes it is certainly mystical, I think that's the correct term...

Absolutely love this. Going to spend a fortune at Salute, methinks!! Would have loved to have seen the game!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Oof I have already started the Pacific in 6mm, now I’ll have to buy some 14th Army from Peter Pig to do it for Chain of Command too.
I played this table at Herts of Lard. Absolutely cracking. Looking forward to the new handbook.
Looked a fun game Alex, the book is definitely on my radar when it’s released 😁
It was great fun. Yeah, I've been waiting for it for ages now!
What manufacturers were used for the japanese and the commonwealth troops?
Dunno, they belong to Rich.
