Hi, Jason, This is the first time on your site, and I think that this is exactly what we need. We are a plumbing and mechanical company in Northern Michigan. We have three project managers that work on our team. We have been working on time lines for our work and how to improve, our work performance.
In Iran, I worked as a civil engineer for nearly 10 years, gaining valuable construction experience. After moving to the UK, I pursued a master's degree in Project Management to become a construction PM. The content of your videos surpasses not only the knowledge I gained through my studies but also the practical insights I acquired during my time on-site. Thank you so much for sharing such valuable insights in your videos.
Jason, big fan of the channel! I was in a leadership program with a large GC until I left for a smaller company. I applied for a APM, but was given the alternative for the good ole project engineer position. On a new build, it’s been mostly labor over a cold VT winter, with a 1:15 drive each way. Younger, and less field orientated people have gotten the title APM. While I think the company sees a vision for me, it rubs me the wrong we knowing they mislead me by downplaying my XP. Should I see this as opportunity to grow with the company from ground up (pays dues) or carry-on out of there
I’ve learned construction is complex and your content brings light to the hardened days of the grind I’m hopeful the field know-how and the new generation of leadership will give me a chance to implement the topics you present someday. Thanks for the videos
I do not. The bare minimum would be: Scope Trade Budget Pre-con Meeting Pre-con Meeting Executed Contract Insurance + Bonds Safety Compliance Safety Docs Quality Plan Ready to work
Hi Jason! I want to work for a construction company but I’m only allowed to work remotely. Is there a job position I can look for that may give me that opportunity to be apart of a construction company remotely??
@@jasonwilliamschroeder I have zero experience, zero qualifications but I really do wanted to be apart of a team of builders. Desired position, anything easy that a small size woman can do. Preferably a remote job since I’m always going to be moving every few years. I’m thinking of like a long-term remote job in a construction company that requires communicating with customers on possible builds and layouts, picking funiture, materials or designs wanted, calculating/estimating project cost, scheduling employees, making purchases, organizing and verifying legal documents and payments, etc…. So, are you able you help me out? 🙁🙁 I have no idea if it’s even a existing “thing,” but if there is such a thing, please direct me to where I’m heading. I have no experience and no knowledge how to get where I want to be and I can only be apart of it if it’s remote since my marriage lifestyle does not allow me to be present or work-on-site as of now. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🥺 Thank you ~
The preflight, takeoff, and landing are key to any successful airplane trip. Projects are the same, if you don’t nail all three, you will never succeed profitably.
My friends hit the bell, to get the notifications, every time a new video is uploaded, to this Chanel.
Jason please make a video on various phases of projects right from initiation, planning, Execution, monitoring and control with real life examples.

I would at least give it 8 months to see if they are real.

Do you uave a buyout log template you can share? NTP coming in a week.
I do not. The bare minimum would be:
Scope
Trade
Budget
Pre-con Meeting
Pre-con Meeting
Executed Contract
Insurance + Bonds
Safety Compliance
Safety Docs
Quality Plan
Ready to work
Thanks, Jason! I'll add those to columns to my existing buy-out log.

Communicate.
Manage expectations.
Im still confused why responsibilities are same for project manager?

I love the way you put this.
