    Hey man, this video saved me $150 bucks on sending it in and getting it replaced. Bought some tools, followed the video and boom, my phone was fixed. The old LCD came out like shit, but if it's bad, there's no reason to be that gentle with it. Thanks again for this video and keep up the good work.

    Nice one! I think this guide is perfect for people who have previous repair experience, because it gets right to the important device-specific details, and isnt drawn out with minute details that are common procedure.
    I miss the good ol' days when things weren't held together ENTIRELY by adhesive strips tho!

    Success! Received mine today. I cracked my screen and needed a replacement. A little sketchy for a bit because the screen stuck to the bracket and start splitting. All ended well. I think your videos should explain some real times of getting this done or how long or warm the back should get in order to slip the tool in. Maybe demo applying the special S6 adhesive. I felt there may be a good technique to align it.

    Hey this video wast just the perfect guide for my replacement. Can there be any damage to the finger print? I just realized that mine is not working

    • @Fixez
      @Fixez  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Francisco Escobar There should be no damage to the finger print feature on your device. Does your home button function? What error message do you receive?

    • @franciscoescobar4581
      @franciscoescobar4581 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      My home button works perfectly, as the other two buttons on the sides, the message it displays says: "An error has occurred with the fingerprint sensor. If this message appears repeatedly, restart your device." And that's what I've done so many times but it doesn't work at all

    • @Fixez
      @Fixez  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds more like a software issue. You can replace the home button and see what outcome you receive but you may damage the screen in the process.

    My s6 fell down and the fall creteda a crack and a sort of bubble on top right corner in the white part around the front camera and down to the side of the phone but the glass isn't cracked. There is dust slowly gathering in the crack/bubble. What exactly is the white part, how hard is it to repair and how damaging is it to the lcd, glass or the insides of the phone? Thanks for answering :)

    • @Fixez
      @Fixez  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear about this issue. Replacing your LCD and Touch digitizer assembly as shown on this video would resolve your issues. It's difficult for us to confirm how difficult the repair would be for you. The bubble may be the LCD separating from the glass adhesive. We recommend watching our video to gauge your ability to perform the repair. We can advise you that patience is key with any repair you would like to perform. We offer all the parts required via this link www.fixez.com/store/samsung/samsung-galaxy-s6

    I recently dropped my phone about 3 feet from the ground. The screen started acting glitchy as the screen went black and was flashing multiple colours and eventually just went black. If I plug it into the charger my notification light will still light up. There are no cracks anywhere on my phone. Is it a possibility that it is just a loose connection to lcd?

    • @Fixez
      @Fixez  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is possible. It is also possible that the display was damaged without damage to the glass.

    Wondering if you could help me.. recently dropped my phone flat on its surface today. Was fine when I picked it up but moments later I noticed a purple inky color spreading throughout my display.. touch works fine and screen is not cracked, but now everything is black/purple. Does this mean my LCD was damaged? Is it fixable with this method shown in the video? Any help would be appreciated, thanks so much.

    • @Fixez
      @Fixez  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Monica Chon Yes, the LCD is damaged on the device. If you process the repair shown in this video, you'll have your device back up and running. You can locate the parts here www.fixez.com/store/samsung/samsung-galaxy-s6 if you need any other assistance, do not hesitate to contact us.

    What are some symptoms of a bad screen? I have a video on my channel of a S6 that makes noise but has a black display and also has the touch buttons only flash on for a second when the phone is turned on.

    • @Fixez
      @Fixez  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +ArcadeMachine15 (wescoolya) Sounds like a bad display. If you have recently dropped the device or damaged it in any way, possible that the LCD is bad. However, if you have not encountered any damages it may be a software related issue on the device. You can connect the device to your PC and see if it recognizes it. Double check this and let us know if there is anything else we can do.

    • @ArcadeMachine15
      @ArcadeMachine15 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** Ok, it has been water damaged. Is there any way of bringing the screen back to life? It's kinda a shame to let it go since it isn't cracked.

    • @Fixez
      @Fixez  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Difficult in all honesty. Doubtful that the screen will work again if it has suffered from liquid damage.

    Dropped my phone and the bottom half of the display was the first to go. Looked like a crack going across the middle. Turned the phone off and on and it's completely black now.
    However the touch screen is working fine and doesn't have any damage. I can answer a call and input my unlock code etc. (I was able to do it by having another S6 phone beside mine). I know this worked as I had to allow access when trying to backup data via usb. I wouldn't have been able to view the data without selecting 'allow access'.
    Does this mean it's just the LCD that I need to replace?

      Hey, turned out to be the LCD. 185euro to fix. Samsung parts are very expensive. Looked into doing it myself but wasn't worth messing it up for about 30euro approx. Part costs around 145 depending on where you can source it and it's not straight forward(there are some good tutorials on youtube)
