A log home. MY idea of MY dream home. Natural warmth + casual elegance. And SOLID. Homes that "should" withstand the elements BETTER than a traditional studs/joists (2x4/2x6) construction home. Which is 96% of how any home is built today. Strong enough winds could move the home if not bricked. What if a car speeding drives off the road and drives into the home?? A 4400-lb car speeding into the front of such a home...likely drive through. A log home? I'd think would only suffer superficial dings...as the logs are solid and linked. (I could be wrong...just seems likely) Not sure how much each log can weigh (course it varies with length/circumference/type of wood)... Love to see a log home you've done with dark brown stain and chalking. And "flattened" on the outside (round ness cut away from each log)
Shakira Bells wrong. Savings. Might take 10 to 15 years of hard core savings, but can be done. We doing that now and dedicated to make the Millersberge design ours.
