About This Log and Timber Home:
The "Log and Timber Home 2124AL" was designed from the very beginning with the idea to combine rustic log and custom timber elements. As we worked closely with the homeowner while designing this unique custom home, we quickly learned that they knew exactly what they wanted. Full log wall construction with squared timbers and stone for accents was desired for a truly rustic feel. Reclaimed wood flooring, reclaimed wood doors, and circle-sawn boards on the ceilings would bring even more ruggedness to their dream home. A wrap-around covered porch was a must, along with an open loft where they could have a home office. Many log home companies may consider these requests to be overwhelming, but we happily accepted the challenge to make our homeowner's dream a reality.

This is not only a fantastic home, but it is a gorgeous piece of art in terms of craftsmanship 🌟 Hands down, Zach is the best host to give anybody a home tour. His presentation skills are off the charts. Usually I get extremely bored of the repetitive usage of the same vocabulary in home tours and almost always turn the volume down. I watched and listened the entire thing with great pleasure!

The detail in this home is remarkable. You ask about favorite feature and my thought is, where do I start? The microwave, the dog washing area, the cabinetry in the master bath...it is all fantastic. I simply can't pick just one feature. I am in LOVE with everything about this house! Hard to pick a single favorite feature. But the aggregated effect of all the 'little' things like the lower drawer under the bathroom sink, etc. really add up. I *love* the floors and the stone accent walls. Brings the outdoors inside elegantly and funtionally.

I’m going to be purchasing land in northern Idaho and very interested in getting more information on your log homes. Great presentation done on this beautiful home. My favorite room is the kitchen. I love all the extras like the pull up outlets. How clever is that!!!

OMG. I thought I would never find my dream kitchen... and here you have it. So well thought through and so beautiful wood. Love the color combination as well as the clever concept of layout. Each item is in its space, where it actually makes sense to be. No long ways to walk to get from one to the next in the cooking process. Looooove it.

@@goldeneagleloghomes You are welcome. As I am sure that people who can afford that type of home don't usually cook themselves, I find it wasted on them, unless they simultaneously employ a chef. However I LOOOOVE cooking, but cannot afford that type of kitchen, it all seems so unfair LOL. I have a beautiful kitchen too with oak furniture and cream old style range and fridge which I designed myself so it makes sense to a chef.

Loving this kitchen! Wow. I would still want a closet pantry due to canning etc & like it as a "Safe" room. Stairs are just great! They are thick, wide, balanced not overwhelming or undersized but blending in the house as a whole. Guest room & Bath I liked better than the first bath. Really, great stuff. Loved that wash room & dog shower etc!

Totally Built (Turnkey) Cost of the Log & Timber 2124AL
Thank you for following along with this Log Home Construction video series. Along with thousands of others, you are probably wondering how much this great home would cost to build. Let’s go back to how this all started. This homeowner came to us, and really liked the Eagle Prow 1975AL. That stock plan would have a (♦ turnkey cost) of approximately $499,000 as an 8”x8” full log home. As with each of the 5,200+ homes we have previously built in North America, this homeowner began by modifying our stock plan because they were looking for more luxurious options and a larger home. With the help of our in-house design team. They increased the size of the home, upgraded to 12”x12” full logs, and chose deluxe options on nearly every single item in this home. This resulted in a turnkey cost of approximately $950,000.USD ♦ Turnkey costs do not include the unpredictable variable costs such as price of the land, well, septic, landscaping, taxes.

I would have to say the thing that suprised me lol was the pull out microwave. I have never seen one like that before. But my favorite feature is the flooring and the doors. That is the most beautiful wood and awesome work installation. I'm a huge fan of the barn style doors.

I like handles on my cabinets and I don't like sinks or cooktops on islands.......but the homeowners may have requested that. I like the pantry and the double doors ons the oven and warming oven just below. Like the pullout shelf to put oven pans on when you need to take them out to check on them. Like deep drawer for large pots. Like the sockets in island that can be pulled up. Staircase is beautiful. Windows are beautiful also........lots of light coming in. Good lighting throughout.Love the loft.

Fast falling in love with Golden Eagle. So many smart, well designed details. The kitchen utilities are well balanced to match look, function and daily use. One quick side note on the hot water faucet in the sink. in my opinion its a must have. Super convenient. We use ours multiple times a day. Love the loft. Wondering how the airflow is up there. In the winter that can get hot if the air doesn’t flow well. I know he addressed it with the ceiling fan, still not sure that I would want a fan going in the winter... still love this home. Very well done.
