I knew DiDonato was an amazing performer, but had no idea what an incredible teacher she is as well. What a national treasure.

This just may be my favorite master class. Agree with Joyce 100% that this young lady is special and there is no doubt she has so much to offer. After watching and listening to Joyce’s teachings, I knew this young lady was exhilarating for Joyce to watch and hear because she so clearly was in the moment. Not sure which I enjoyed more, her performance or watching Joyce’s face as she sang and “got it”. Joyce’s face at 4:44 says it all. I could go on and on about Joyce and how much her teaching has inspired, moved, and connected with me. She is a gift to all singers and opera fans and for me, not just an inspiring musician but an inspiring human being. SHE is responsible for bringing me back to opera as a fan and for inspiring and helping me as a singer and teacher. Love me some Joyce. Forever a fan, Ms. DiDonato♥️🎶

I enjoy these master classes when you break them up into individual singers rather then crunch them into 1 Very long segment ...Joyce DiDonato is an amazing coach/singer

This is so important! So much about singing is mental. And so many moments in this video are so personal! I thank you deeply for opening up in public that much. I have the feeling you are very often nearly crying. I know I would. Because so much about singing is about us, about our person, our emotions, our constrictions. Keep going, keep working, I am sure you will get very far.
