BROKEN BRIDGE || A film by MURUGAN MOHAN aka MUMO

Broken Bridge: The road straight ahead leads to the beach. As you head towards it, the hum of the sea smoothly grows on you and the clash of the dancing waves get louder and louder. At the very end of the road, turn right and you get into the usual beachscape; people hangin’ out everywhere, shops selling all kinds of food, coffee houses, young boys and girls chatting up, the older folk relaxing on their foldable chairs, cars and bikes fighting for parking space and more of the usual…
But at the end of the road you turn left and you are greeted by a small fishing hamlet. There’s only a 2-meter wide sand-road bustling with kids and people. Drive through for 250 meters and a mud road starts. And here begins a wonder-filled journey as you suddenly feel lighter. The feeling of stepping into a different realm swells up and soon you’re left soaking in an inexplicable but enchanting solitude. Silence overtakes speech; time and space fade…
Here the extraordinary lives in the ordinary…
And here stands “Broken Bridge”…

Loved it! 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. Visuals that made me forget the field of view is of a camera. But my favorite part was the sound - I particularly enjoyed the sound of the birds and the din, and the bgm, and the voice over. Lovely story of a space that is so familiar to many of us. It makes Chennai feel like "Chella Kutti" ! 😚

Sanjiv shared this link with me. The attention to details and razor sharp images makes this very engaging and a treat to the eye. The music has blended very well with the video and maintains the tempo. However, a little thought here. If this can be re-recorded is Tamil also with poetic words as used in english, this is sure to get a lot of attention. Great job !
