Fun fact, this song was mix and mastered by Ben Groose, he's also known to work alongside with Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed and many other big band names out there. Kinda cool innit

I love every song they've put out, for me I get a lot of early 2000's rock/metal feel from their songs in some way or another. This song.. easily my favorite! That chorus is just so damn huge! For real I can easilly see them on stage in front of a gigantic crowd and this being THE song that gets everyone hyped!

Not that you care, but Critikal's biggest vocal influence was Chino Moreno from Deftones. You can really hear that influence in The Gentle Men's song Real To Me. Speaking of, you should react to Real To Me.

Wait holy shit that's huge to me, they are one of my earliest inspirations and still an all time favorite to date. My goal is to create sort of a fusion band that takes stuff from nu-metal, blackened deathcore, prog, math rock, and shoegaze. I really want a deftones meets lorna shore meets dance gavin dance type deal. Not sure if I could feasibly fit all that in one song but maybe I do albums inspired by different styles. I also want to work in the jazz fusion and acapella worlds, since my college minor is in jazz and I have a huge passion for playing trombone and other jazz instruments.

I think Charlie is really getting a feel for this, like you can tell he is passionate. His screams are solid, but they sound somewhat like I did when I had been just getting into doing that vocal style correctly. That is not an insult in the slightest though, just like regular singing, screams and growls take a ridiculously long time to master, I still consider myself a beginner but I am starting to get a good grip on it and I am finding myself able to project and do some more wild deathcore techniques. You can't expect to sound like Will Ramos or Chino Moreno after a few years of releasing casual humorous songs. You can tell Charlie isn't some guru who's been doing this stuff for 10+ years, but that is perfectly normal and okay. Every new song released I hear both his cleans and harsh vocals getting better and better, he's doing it the right way, singing what he is comfortable with and working his way up. I liked your criticism at 3:09, I found that vocal to be underwhelming, mainly because I am spoiled by stuff like Lorna Shore lately, and I was expecting some massive double layered slam of vocal immortality. I expect years down the line we will likely see Charlie working on his range, he seems to be a natural bass and will probably explore the lower and higher ends of the registers (I can see him getting really fucking low, if he learned things like chest fry and subharmonics he could likely reach ridiculous low notes, another style I am passionate about) and his screams will likely push into more variety, while still being very unique. My favorite thing about it is that Charlie has such a ridiculously unique voice, and I can't wait to hear where he takes it. Edit: I would say that when you talked about the growl vocal and where it belongs, I don't entirely agree, but that is again down to technique and vocal maturity, Charlie doesn't have growls yet that can stand on their own in that context, if that makes any sense. Years down the line as he improves, he could growl all he fucking wants and it would be sick, also again, the mixing may have missed a bit in that moment.

compare to many of Critical's songs this one is definitely the best, but compare to other Metalcore bands, this is terrible and incredibly generic.
doesn't mean I will stop listening to it, tho.
