Both songs are vert YG. Which is what we like.
When I first heard SITM I thought it was a beautiful song and beautifully performed, but not the kind of thing I would listen to. I've been listening to it a lot. There's a richness to it and I find it addictive. And I also loved Batter Up, and looking forward to everything else Babymonster does. (Although tbh I could do without the Pepsi commercial.)
Baby Monster literally deserve to be called BABY MONSTER...One of the best 5th Generation Kpop..

Underwhelming for the haters, but Batter Up was a brilliant homage to YG. This is a great homage to Disney. Similar to early gen yg ballads.
Crazy how some people wanted Baemon to sound non-YG. Crazy to watch a YG group then talked sh..t when they sound like a YG group. Those 200M views are YG STANS screaming, "STFU" to these haters.

@@BasicBrosReactions yeah right. new kpopers saying they're glad this aint sounding like YG. They don't know that YG actually got some of the most iconic kpop ballads sincr Bigbang's "If you" and Taeyang's "Eyes, Nose, Lips". This is certainly a throwback to those days.

What went unnoticed with Batter Up is that it wasn’t meant to appeal most K-pop fans! They were testing the Global audience! And BabyMonster was trending Top 5 on TH-cam for 6 days! And they brought in Reactors mainly from the U.S. and Europe! To them Batter Up was all shiny and new! And most of them have stuck around to check out other K-pop groups especially BlackPink! Stuck In The Middle is to let people know that all the members can sing with the best of them! And when Ahyeon returns to will start flexing a little bit more!

Batter Up & Stuck In The Middle both nailed it, shows the versatility and talent of this group and if you're not into they're debut single Batter Up its fine, thanks for reaction and view.

There's no reason to be defensive in the face of those people who are out of touch with reality who insist Batter Up was a failure
@@Chicken.Noodle190 Am not being defensive. Its just that some people dont have a clear understanding of what success and failure actually look like in terms of number of views for a debut song. That 1st day record-breaking views maybe credited to their pre-debut hype and fans streaming. But the song still got streamed after the "1st day hype" reaching 200M the fastest. We can always say that "we dont vibe with the song" or "we dont like the song". But calling it a failure is beyond me.

Totally agree. Although it may have not been everyone’s taste, it clearly did well and with the views itself couldn’t fairly be called a flop or failure. Now other things like promotion cycle is another story lol

Batter Up disappointing for many people? It broke the record for the most viewed debut in 24 hours with 23M views and currently has 215M views.
Where is the disappointment?
Clock it!!!! because in what way did they disappoint
They by no means were a flop or anything close to that (like we have seen thrown around by some) but we saw a lot of people say:
- the song wasn’t great
- the mv wasn’t memorable
- lack of promotion/performance
- ahyeon (who is arguably one of the most popular members) not being there and all the rumors about her
And those are just a few. While we don’t necessarily agree with all of those, we did see it mentioned quite a bit. And just because a video has a ton of views, doesn’t mean people can’t be somewhat disappointed after they check it out 💪🏾🎙️

The negative comments are fans of other groups who come to cry because their favorite group does not emerge from failure and they know very well who BabyMonster are... BabyMonster is NOT going to promote anything until the group is complete and they make their real debut.
Ahyeon is currently re-recording Batter Up and Stuck In The Middle and will reappear on April 1 when they release their first mini album.
