Right ploughman’s lunch in our house was pickled onions, piccalilli, slices of home cooked ham, slices of homemade pork pie, Cheshire cheese, crusty rolls and butter, hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, watercress. That’a proper ploughman’s, not faffing about, Ramsay. And my Uncle was a champion ploughman, too.
Im now convinced he has every ingredient possible to cook with in his kitchen. Been watching his channel for long time now and he seems to have everything. Also his ingredients are top notch. Lots of us dont have that type of access to some of these ingredients or that fresh of produce or meat or fish.
I made this today and it was great. I made beer soaked dinner rolls instead of small bread loaves. Next time I will use cucumber instead of celery. The pickled onions were much better than I thought they would be.
