Thanks for making this unique video. Last time I watched it I put an orange ear plug on a hook. I thought it would work to add a dropper to it. I have not used my ear plug fly yet. I like to see ultra talented anglers take it to the next level. It makes me happy to see the advancement of the the sport of fly fishing.
Awesome to see. Reminds me if my youth when we couldnt afford to catch trout in the UK we’d fly fish for chub and dace. We’d use dry fly, crayfish and pin fry streamers for chub. I think they are much harder to stalk and catch than trout. All those roaming eyes in the shoal! I once heard them called fish of a thousand eyes!
So many chub where I live & regularly catch them when targeting trout, 60+cm chub on #4 - #6 rods can take a bit of time to land. I used chub fishing to train my daughter in fly fishing as they are by far the easiest species to catch on the fly down here.
Fun video 👍 It would have been even more fun with 5wt rod and a smaller fly , like a black or white high density foam micro popper on size 12 or 10 hook. It works very well, especially if you make it impact the water. No need for the heavy equipment, especially if you’re using a very short head.
chub give great sport, no matter what the weather's like. they're very shy so you mustn't spook them. my fave fish - the local river is full of them, to 60cm or so
@@assyntflyfishing Its better to have som thread on the hook, attach the plug and then have a point where you tie it in the front, and of course some glue. Otherwise, the ear plug will go off the hook when you casting.
Its easier to target them on fly when its lower water and warmer temperature. But you have the chance of trophys in the beginning of the season. Heavy fish.
Mr. Bauer - you are a legend 😂😂😂 💪💪💪
Cool series 🤙
My favourite fish, so I'm glad you guys made this movie :D
Love to see you guys pop over to England and fish a Chalk stream during Mayfly season.
Not your average Bauer episode. 👍💪

Lovely to hear, thank you very much!
I love this company, i hope one day i can be sponsored by vision
I came for the chub, stayed for the rock climbing 😂
😂😂👌

they're so shy and easily spooked - in that way they're harder to catch than trout
Great to see you after chub...though I'd not thought of wet wading for them😂
I love fishing for chub on artificials, so far only tried with finesse lures but I can see the attraction of flyfishing for them
I am at 9:18 ,are you going to survive that fishing adventure till the end ? 😂

Thats the response of someone getting new waders for free when ripping them :)
Super video - what country?
Today i caught my first chub on a dry fly... 1.5 kg x 50 cm. So much fun😊
very nice video... thank you

What model of reel is on your ONKI rod I mean the silver one.?
Piękne Klenie!
O man what we do for fishing....😂🎣🤘
RIP waders.
That's one interesting dry fly. How is it tied?
Looks like you could simply stick and ear plug on a hook! :)

Looks like high water... Easier in lower water?
I am going to France in Auguast and will be doing a bit of this for sure!

@@Johnsilvretkarki Thanks John. I'm planning on targeting some Barbel as well - squirmy worm time!
That is just normal with Vision waders.
That was a Hard fishing day.
Faire une vidéo sur le chevesne à la mouche bravo car vous êtes là seul marque à l avoir fait I ❤️ visionflyfishing
Nice to se u fish somethingelse than pike Nicklas =)
Wait what 2,7kg is the record on fly😶 my biggest is 3,02 on fly in Sweden
Unfortunately the uneducated fly fishermen in Scotland kill these fish, very challenging species to catch on the fly.
Thats what chub hunting is all about. Ripped waiders, wet underwear, climbing the steep, rocky and bushy banks for chubby chubs nowhere to be found 😂😂😂
I can totally relate
Chub va de nu är för fisk🙂
Färna
Chubs, dirty river and you look drunk, are you in France ?🤣🤣🤣
