Thanks for your kind words! The tips and techniques I share are just the beginning of a long journey and I hope that my artwork inspires you to keep exploring and experimenting! 👍😎🍀
What a wonderful little série. Love those small exercises. Not many people uses oil brushes with watercolour yet the results are stunning! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
man, I've been a subscriber for quite some time now, over the years I've always wished I could paint like you but I can't seem to get past my need to make every painting frame worthy despite knowing I have to paint to make the mistakes I'll learn from, I've got a ton of supplies and various mediums to attempt it with but I still can't make myself to just get going so i can get through the rough not-so-good phase so I can move on to the amateur phase and gain the necessary knowledge needed to become a better watercolor painter, I'm just not the biggest nature painter either cause it feels like all my attempts at sketching scenery to paint looks the same, unlike yours that are all awesome and varied 😊 sorry so long I tend to write whatever comes to mind while I'm writing LMFAO ✍️🏽 thanks 4 all the advice and tips, much appreciated bruv, take care & stay safe!! ✌🏽 ✌🏽
My ex was like this. He was obsessed with being a famous drummer, he talked about it all the time, so I finally bought him some drums. He practiced for a few weeks and that was it. Turns out he wanted the acclaim of being a famous drummer, but had no interest in the the work or day to day drudgery required to make it happen. Nothing wrong with that. Most people are like that and he wasn't hurting anyone. Just wish I had figured it out before wasting the money.
Why not paint the way you write, without the expectation of a tight composition. Just do one little stroke, which leads to another and then another. Try fixing a small mistake, and see if it improves the painting. Baby steps.
I understand totally as the learning curve is difficult and different at every rung of the ladder upwards my friend. You sound smart and positive…. so if you keep working you will keep making breakthroughs. I always suggest having a calendar on the wall or on the table/ desk. Every 15 minutes you draw, paint, view art, watch TH-cam videos, or art dvds make a x or check mark … something like that. At the end of the month we can look at our calendars and see how much time we have devoted on our drawings, paintings and study. If we see very little x’s etc….then that will mean not too much progress,…. Lots of x’s means lots of progress. Time invested equals good results. Does that seem to make sense? 👍😎🍀
I felt the same way for a while so instead of painting I started drawing more, doing left hand drawings, upside down drawings, unbroken line drawings, capture a scene in 30 sec drawings. After just a week or two my drawing improved so then I did line and wash because it’s hard to wreck them. After that I was more inclined to paint although I still feel the need to make every painting as great as I can and I get super bored trying to practice just one thing like trees over and over. Anything you paint improves you I’ve discovered even the dreaded swatching which I hate. In 4 months I’ve come a really long way and now have paintings I can actually frame and numerous people asking me when I’m going to start selling some. I sit on the lounge late at night with TH-cam on and just do my own thing. And you thought your comment was long 😂😂😂😂😂

Hello
Is the titanium white also watercolor?
👍 yes! 👍😎🍀
@ thank you, I never know what the white is used for, it looks like it needs to be a little bit thick for splattering.
