Same! Marvel and Star Wars are the most requested videos, but we want people to learn and understand that there are SO MANY great movies that don't involve superheroes
Would love to see a podcast on like complicated movies. Like how you spoke about 2049 but with like maybe Inception, Tenet, Shutter Island, Enemy etc etc.
Random thought because I just watched the Marvel and DC podcast but you guys should look into doing a spotlight on John Favreau as an actor and director, because he’s done so much as both. And honestly he kinda is one of the original creators of the MCU because he made iron man. He’s also directed and acted in plenty of films outside of the MCU. Anyways I think it’d be an interesting and fun episode but I love the podcast and I’ve listened to every single episode up to date.
Have you guys talked about Enemy? If not, you guys should do a deep dive into that movie. My freshman year of college I took film appreciation and our final paper was to do an analysis on it, definitely felt like a tough movie to understand (what do the spiders mean??!) haha love the podcast guys keep it up
Hey! I noticed Domhnall Gleeson come up in a couple of podcasts now and just thought I'd let you know that Domhnall is pronouced doh-nal (weird I know, Irish names can be hard to figure out). Love the podcast!
Ex-Machina is such a wonderful film. A true rare gem. The money spent on it makes it so much more impressive. That and also Upgrade truly magnificent feats of production. Edge of Tomorrow is quite possibly the best Sci-Fi designed to be fun since Terminator 2. As for Blade Runner I’ve wanted to like the first for so long. I’ve watched it multiple times, each time wanting to like it, but I just never liked it. 2049 however, is exceptional. What I will say though is I can see how much of an influence the first film had on not just Sci-Fi but film in general. A lot of modern cinematography is clearly inspired by that film. Back to 2049 though, I watched it in the theatre alone. No one I knew wanted to watch it and clearly no one else wanted to see it either. Without a doubt the best £13 I’ve ever spent. A true cinematic experience. Full absorbed into the world. Stunning visuals. Beautiful performances. And such an intricately created plot. Denis is probably my favourite filmmaker right now. Really cannot wait for Dune. Hopefully it doesn’t flop so we get those two sequels.
This is a great comment, love your perspectives. Although you don't love the original, it's truly a remarkable film. it's tough to go back and look at 40 year films compared to today's standards, but it's an amazing film. 2049 may have topped it which seemed like an impossibility. So ecstatic for Deni's take on "Dune"
I love this podcast the best insights, cool facts, and just overall great conversation. If this interest you a Robert Pattinson spotlight might be cool to do
Almost finished with the episode, watching the rest on lunch break. Good work again fellas. Didn’t think about the connections to god in Ex Machina. Fantastic film
Edge of tomorrow was poor.It was just another war film (even with the resurrection theme) people have had enough of -having watched Oblivion the year before.
You guys are literally my new favorite Podcast, like hands down no questions asked.
Thank you so much! 😄😄😄
Bladerunner 2049 is one of my favorite movies. So when my favorite podcast talks about it. It’s a good day lol.
DOUBLE WIN!!!
I love this, I love talking about movies. Not just Marvel or DC but all types !! 🙌🏼🔥

Love all those movies! Enemy would be so fun to do. We’ll get to all of these
I was just thinking about you guys going over Alex Garland movies, specifically Ex Machina. Big hype waking up today for work and seeing this.

Thanks William! We love R-Patz!!!
Gotta do a review of Guy Ritchie - The gentleman! snatch!
Huge Guy Ritchie fans! We'll get to him eventually. "Proper handsome C***!"
Another great one!, as a man from Ireland I feel like I'm obligated to say that Domhnall is just pronounced as Donal 🤣🤣
Oh thanks for the info! That spelling throws me off haha
Crap thanks lol
Oh we talking Blade Runner 2049 my second fav movie of all time
YESSS
Good way to spend my morning!
Morning!😄

@@ThatsSoHollywood So much symbolism in Ex Machina! generally any story of someone creating "life", artificial or not, has ties to god like themes
You should do a directors spotlight on Edgar wright
Yesssss
Bases loaded home run, this one is out of the park!!
LETS GO!
Altered Carbon. Season one may be the best piece of video sci-fi ever.
Great season for sure
@@raidersofthelostpodcast_ Have you guys done a episode on this show yet?
@@jerbearnone2012 not yet, but we’ll add it to the list!
I’m 100% sure this a reverse Prestige situation and there’s only one of them
Let's hope no one tries a bullet catch
Hey guys 😂🔥 I didn’t know edge of tomorrow had a comic and it on viz media just save it to read it later 🔥🔥🔥
Yea! The original manga
First 😎
Lovely to see this when I’m home sick
Feel better!
It’s not a modern sci-fi, but I like Outland 1981.
It’d be cool if you guys did Star Wars
👍🏻
What about the rocky movies being great sequels
The first one is still superior to all the other Rocky's
Best sf movie of each decade...
Know that will be epic 😎
GREAT IDEA
@@raidersofthelostpodcast_ Gentleman! U hust made my day!!!

And next dirextor Spotlight...
Stanley Kubrick
