    The “Master” has arrived and is more terrifying than I ever imagined

    Mae the Force be with you! 😊

    I think that Mae's reason for her to give up on the Jedi killing is super valid. I do agree that it happened too fast but I can understand the character. Her motivation to be hunting the Jedi was revenge. She blames the Jedi for what happened in Brendok. We know she had a super strong connection to her sister so now that she knows that she's alive, I can understand why she wants to go after her. Revenge is not the most important thing for her now. So yeah. I think the pacing is the issue but her reasons to leave everything and go after Osha are understandable.

      @starwarslads  หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      From a certain perspective, her reasoning could be sound. The biggest problem with her reasoning is all of it happens offscreen. We never see her grapple with the fact that her sister is still alive. We never see her question the Darksider for the lies he’s told her. There’s also the fact that the last time Mae and Osha talk to each other (before the fire) Mae tells Osha she’s going to kill her, locks her in her room, and starts a fire to burn her alive. So why does she not want to kill her sister now? Their connection is strong, I just don’t feel the show has done anything yet to support this big of a change in Mae. She has spent her whole life presumably being indoctrinated by the Sith like Osha has been indoctrinated by the Jedi. Precedent tells us that the dark side is much harder to shake. Its power is addictive. If she would have spent this whole episode trying to come to terms with her sister’s survival, then maybe next episode turned, I could have accepted it a bit more easily. - Liam

      @@starwarslads yeah I think her reasons are understandable but it did happen super fast. But yeah in regards to Mae telling Osha she would kill her when they were kids, I saw it as something a kid would do. I mean, I've seen my cousins fighting each other, threatening to kill each other, throwing knives at each other...not sure if you have siblings but yeah, I wouldn't think too much about that line. We also don't know how long Mae was under the "Sith" fella but even if it was since after Brendok, I think her more selfish attitude of dropping him to go after her sister is very understandable. Anakin basically destroyed the galaxy for Padme. Mae giving up on her master to go after her sister can be seen as Dark Side behavior. She is putting her attachments in front of everything and we know how much attached she was to Osha when they were kids.
      I agree with you that Mae's change of heart wasn't very well done but I think storywise it makes sense. But if she just becomes good again after that, then yeah it wouldn't be good either.

    Does anybody know what Jecki’s role will be in the Acolyte? Headland said Jecki plays the Ahsoka character.

    Maybe there is a reason the instructions given to mae were for her to kill without a weapon. Maybe this sith will be able to eliminate all these jedi without using his lightsaber. That way all witnesses are eliminated and the jedi council is clueless to the sith presence. Idk 😅

      If the figure managed to kill everyone with just the Force or have them cut off their own limbs/stab themselves, that would be crazy!

    Acolyte is very boring and probably the worst live action show Disney has made. Book of Boba was a lot more interesting in my opinion.

      That’s a fair opinion. Hopefully it starts to turn around in the second half.

      @DrewMack-oj3lh I hate those kind of channels btw, but unfortunately i feel this show is reeeally bad so far in many ways. The jedi temple for exemple seems to be a set taken out of a Star Trek 90's show.

    • @lcva9822
      @lcva9822 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @DrewMack-oj3lh or some people just dont like it. And I like a lot of stuff from Disney tbh like Andor and High Republic, but this show unfortunately is going to be another 'Obi Wan' or 'Book of Boba' show (which had male protagonists).
      In the other hand, Fallout series just came out and it's great and has a female protagonist.
      So not everyone who deslikes a SW shows is a sexist.

    • @lcva9822
      @lcva9822 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @DrewMack-oj3lh So a mature criticism is when you agree with it? Seriously youre saying i have no braincells just because i didnd find the show to be good even though i never made one single sexist comment?
      You know what? People like you are the ones responsible for feeding those trols youtube chanels you just mentioned. You cant even debate a tv show without offending for no reason besides me not liking it. You are just like them

    • @starwarslads
      @starwarslads  หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      We encourage everyone to wait for the story to play out before “burning it to the ground”. There’s still half the show left to see if it gets better.

      I think the Jedi temple looks small and claustrophobic. The Coruscant card makes it look like an unpopulated video game and we see one room for kendo class and one corridor for over the shoulder dialog pause. I mean it seems way lesser a place than Prequel or even the Mando temple
