Q: Where is your accent from?
A: I was born and raised to Toronto, Ontario, Canada but moved to Essex in England when I was 14 years old. Hence my mixed up accent.
Q: Do you work? What do you work as?
A: I worked in Marketing and PR but I now focus on my vlog full time.
Q: Who’s in your family?
A: I have been married to Matt for since 2009, he is the love of my life! We have three sons - Fraser (born 2010), Caleb (born 2013) and Jackson (born in 2016).

A: I use natural lighting 90% of the time and a softbox light during the winter / dark evenings.

My grandpa had heart surgery on Christmas eve and was released from hospital yesterday. Best present ever honestly.

My Grandad had heart surgery in November but he had to go back into hospital last Monday before Christmas because his womb was leaking and that only happens in 4-5% of patients. We was told that he was allowed back out on Christmas Day but that didn't happen now we are still waiting for some news. xx

Emily you really should wraps the Christmas lights around a tube to avoid tangling.
I take mine down after new year. I couldn’t have new year without them, it just reminds me of being little having them around. I don’t love how things are shifting and people put them up so early and take them down so early too! I think January is so grim that the longer the twinkly lights are around the better. Love this vid through Emily, I’ll defo be re-watching when I do take them down! Xx
Speaking of twinkly lights, all those cords to manage. This is the main factor limiting the number of lights I put up 😂

@@DaniOchannel I have two strong painkillers & half a bottle of champagne before I even think about dealing with the lights...whether it’s up or down. They’re the worst 😩xx
Glad I’m not the only one ladies. I know some people who take them down on Boxing Day, now that really does get me going 😤
My parents taught me that we can undecorate house after Epiphany (6th Jan) as this is strongly connected to our religion 😉 and I do follow this Christian tradition 😊🎄 anyway I've watched your cleaning video with pleasure 😍 I just love your videos!
Yes I was brought up similarly and I kept that tradition also. No decorations come down before the Epiphany.
We take our decorations down the day after Christmas and then we do a deep clean. I personally like to go into the new year with a fresh start. 💕

Hi Emily, I love your videos they are great motivation. I had 3 young kids so early and when I started watching your videos I used to get kind of depressed that I’m way behind being that productive but now things are much better and I’m keep watching for more motivations.thank you
All my decorations came down on the 26th, I also decorate early so I was ready for things to be fresh and clean. Starting the new year with a clean, organized house is a great feeling!

Loved the video Emily. I usually keep my decorations up until NYD however as we are stuck inside due to lockdown, we need extra room and for our living space to feel nice and clean so I TOTALLY see the benefit of undecorating early this year. Thanks for the motivating video!

A tip for soft toys. If you have the space for a little tent, they can all be in there and be like a little toy pit.

Mine came down today! Do our sheets fortnightly too but we all shower daily. Love the idea of keeping their bedding in their rooms, so much easier!

In our house we all shower/bath before bed so I change our bedding around every 2 weeks as well at the minute. And I let them air for quite a while before making them in the mornings. So they stay clean smelling and feeling for the two weeks. It's less work for me which is a winner.
Generally we take our decorations down around 5 January. Whatever day around then works for our family. We have a huge real tree and I love the smell so want to hang onto it for as long as I can. Plus I love the twinkling lights for new year. But whatever works for you.
You're content has kept me sane, motivated, happy and grounded throughout everything this year. Just want to say thank you for being your honest and positive self and continuing making relevant, wonderful content through this tough time. It's very much appreciated. Xxx
p.s. you're rocking the new pink slippers from Matt. They look gorgeous and you look gorgeous. Not sluggish or unfit at all. But I get what you mean about not feeling yourself/myself. I'm definitely looking forward to getting back into fitness in January and following your journey too.

I took my tree and decorations down today. Change the bedding of ourselves and the kids every other Friday (so once in 2 weeks). My youngest still wets her bed sometimes, so hers is changed quite often 😅. Loved this cleaning motivation 🥰
I take mine down on the 6th of January. Because my mum always taught me goes up on first Saturday of December and goes down 12 days after Christmas Day for the 12 days of Christmas. Idk when I change my bedding. I just do it when I think I need to 🤣 probably every two weeks xx

You are my kind of person, we put up our decorations before st nicolas (5th december) and take down after 7th of January or 14th (old New year according..)😂
Yup That's what I was brought up with too, first of December they go up, 6th January they come down
Yes 6 January is Epiphany Three Kings Day and with that tradition you take your Christmas trees down.

High five for taking decorations down early. We actually put our tree away today the 28th. Wanting to enter 2021 fresh and having a clean space is a part of that for us. Although I totally understand why people keep decorations up. To each their own.
I take mine down the day after Boxing Day. I like the house to be clean, organised and fresh for when I go back to work in the new year. The last thing I want to do when I get home from work is have all the decorations to take down and spring clean. I change bedding every fortnight.
My husband took down the outside decorations the day after Christmas. I'm going to work on the inside all this week, hoping to be done by New Year's Eve. Thanks for the motivation!

Thanks for the cleaning in inspiration! I couldn't take my decorations down so early - they'll stay up until the New Year even though I'm itching to get everywhere cleaned and tidied! I aim to change the bedding once a week but sometimes it'll be left a day or two longer.

I always take the Christmas decorations down before new year I like to start the new year clean clutter free and happy
I change my bedding every Friday😂 It's become a habit. Fridays are bedding/ household linens like towels, bath mats etc. And every Saturday is laundry day
If I don’t do mine on every week (I do mine on a Sunday), I forget when I did it last!

Great video! I was decluttering and cleaning today for 5 hours solid! Did not sit down! I still have a ton of laundry to get through this week and I'm taking down my decorations and tree on Friday :-) good motivation as always and good music. I'm glad I'm not the only one wanting to take down decorations soon! Xx
I agree that cleaning helps with feeling in control. I took my decorations down before new year for the first time ever. Felt I needed to get rid of clutter. I change the bedding every week and sometimes twice a week in the summer (although living in Scotland I doubt it's ever warm enough to need changed more than once a week in the summer lol). X

Sheet cleaning! I do mine every week during winter and summer. There are normally more germs around during winter so I feel like the sheets need to be cleaned more often during winter. I can't believe you've already taken down your decorations. I think my husband wants them up for the whole of January. Great video! Xxx

Soooo motivating honestly thank you! This year we put our decs up the earliest ever - early nov 😬 😂 and we used to take them down the day after Boxing Day but this year they are still up right now. I put my decorations away in January before I get back to work. I also do my bedding every 2 weeks. 1 week is kids bedding and the next week is our bedding so every weekend there is some sort of bedding being washed. It’s the easiest way to get it all done between all the normal washing and keeps me in track. Xx

Belated Christmas greetings and Happy New Year. We had a lovely relaxed Christmas and NY. It's been sad not to see family & friends but I always look on the bright side of things and embraced being at home for a change, spending it with my husband and son. We have just gone from Tier 2 to Tier 3. Traditionally it's 12 days before & 12 days after for deccies (12th Dec to 6th Jan) but it's whatever you want to do. Everyone has their own traditions. Ps I change my sheets every Sunday, but you're right - especially for kids who have nightly baths - two weeks in Winter is fine. It's so hard getting bedding dry anyway isn't it? I take mine down 6th of January which is known as little Christmas here in Ireland when women take a day off to themselves after all the cooking, shopping etc they do for Christmas. I don’t put my decorations until December, generally around 5th of December. Regarding bed clothes generally every two weeks I change the beds.
I take down mine just before New Year's, I like to go into the new year with a clean space, I guess it's my way of welcoming the new year with open arms.
Love this, I took majority of our Christmas decorations down as well already. I feel like whatever works for people when they put them up or take them down no right or wrong🙂. I change our sheets every week sometimes every 2 weeks.

We take ours down the day after Boxing Day. Just because we put them up so early, we have enjoyed them but happy to say goodbye to them, then clean and refresh the house for the new year 🙌

I put ours up over the last weekend in November so that I have them up for about a month. I always take mine down on New Years Eve the house is fresh and clean for the New Year
I’m with you, as soon as Christmas is done feels sad to still have the decorations up. As soon as Santa’s been I like to get things away and cleaned and ready for going into the new year clean tidy and back to normal. Try to do all bedding every weekend but don’t always manage!
After boxing day i’ve had enough and need a home for all the toys and the xmas clutter away 🙈 always have xmas decs up early so down early is fine with me.
Also i do my 2 boys bedding every 2 weeks but i do ours every week.

Thank you Emily for the motivational video! I did my bathroom, washing and Hovering today! I usually change bedding weekly (very occasionally left two weeks) I have a cat, but have always done that. I started today, takes forever! Started editing all the footage, it’s so satisfying watching the house getting sorted 🤣 Usually it’s the 2nd jan as we usually host New Year’s Day dinner but with tier 4 so everything’s different, also needed room for toys esp with newborn baby with all the big bulky items taking all the room and home renovations are resuming soon so want the house in order before more chaos!! Bedding every week! This has given me motivation to finish the big clean up 💕
I take the decorations down around the 28th/29th as it’s my boys birthday on the 3rd of Jan and I usually need space for yet more toys! As for bedsheets... full change every 3 days 😬 I just love clean sheets and I co sleep with a very droolly toddler! Also yes to feeling more in control with cleaning! It’s my sanity saver when things get bad ❤️ big loves to you.
