The weapons are balanced with the average player in mind. Your aim is always perfectly centred on anyone you flick to, that makes a fast firing burst AR seem op but any gun in a good aimers hands will feel op i think.

Yeah ac42 is still very punishing if I miss
I noticed this too last night. Missing feels like getting caught out during a reload. I think a lot of it has to do with positioning too, finding that place of strength before engaging.
@@ericyuan9718 Especially at closer ranges where you can't take cover If you miss a burst. You're probably dead against another fully automatic.

It's definitely nice that this game doesn't have BF4's weird burst fire skipping thing if you don't time them perfectly. This gun is great especially for playing in areas between objectives. Gonna try suppressor now since I have noticed that the gun can be punishing if you don't land every burst. The full-auto guns are a bit more forgiving for those follow-up shots.
Not to mention it's a laser-beam in semi-auto. Shoots as fast as you can click with no recoil and very little damage drop off.
I used to be an AC42 main before the High Pwr rounds got nerfed from 4 shot kill at all ranges to a whopping 7 at max range. I used it as a DMR, it was literally better than the current BSV-M, as it had lower recoil even with the extended barrel. Burst was always quite difficult to use especially in close quarters and vs targets moving laterally since you can only track your target every burst and only the middle round of the 3 round burst has a reasonable chance to land. The gun is literally a glass cannon in close to midrange so you need to by campy/passive and get the first shot off for an advantage. Buffing the RoF only helps the already great players. I think I would have buffed the dmg dropoff instead of RoF. After 30m it becomes a 5 hit kill, I think that distance is too short, I'd make it 50m.

this gun is a beast but honestly i recently been using almost only the G57 and I feel like people are a bit sleeping on this one too, its just so satisfying and crazy powerfull, maybe for a next video ?

Many people forget about the an-94 from bf3. Wth, it is still insane today.
Haven't been using it for awhile since I got my mastery and I've moved on to working on the other guns. Ill have to try this gun a few times just to see how much its changed since then.
Same. Tier 1 this within months of playing as I loved it but felt it was lacking after a while. Gonna dust it off & give it a go again 👍🏼

I might have to give it another try. I've never been particularly good with burst fire guns though. I have my best games with just the starting m5 honestly. Extended mag, one of the compensators, the short little tilted grip thing on the bottom and the round holo sight. Sorry but I don't know the games name for most of the attachments, never cared to pay that close attention. I typically have decent games too with the avansys.
It also has ridiculously accurate hipfire...

It’s so strong and fun, but also I agree with the rest. Your aim is godly and the game is balanced towards scrubs like me who miss at least 1-2 bullets of every burst lol
One thing about silencers in this game: they don't actually hide the thingies that tell you where you're getting shot from. All they do is remove the arrow from the marker's arc, that's it. You can see it well when somebody shoots you with BSV-M, you jest get the arc instead of arc with an arrow. I know, it's fricking stupid...
Have you also tried the subsonic rounds? I think along with the rounds, the bf3 flash hides direction (i think) but you're on radar. Also a good amount of people aren't looking at their radar.
Subsonic and heavy suppressor still shows the direction in 2042. Itd be too crazy if it was like the m3 infared lol, at least for 2042
It's so obvious! This is the first weapon every new player will use, so this way everyone gets a good first impression for the game.
Not sure about everything since youll get destroyed if you rush with it. Its a passive weapon and you need to be sneaky sneaky with it. Full auto still dominates this game

This gun has been a top 3 weapon since day 1 was my first T1 at the end of like week 2. Maybe a top 5 after its nerf, but now its so obviously #1 with the S3 buff though. I hope people don't watch this particular video Enders :P cause I don't need to see this on the field more often
I had one of highest kill games a while ago with AC-42 before the buff. So I knew it was a decent weapon already. Then was using the AC-42 to unlock whatever gun it was and again noticed how good it was. Nice to see a video on it! Thought about making one myself TBH but of course it’s nice to see some of those crazy clips from lord forehead.
Been using it, so good for all medium + long. Short, K30 is stiller better

I just play it witht the underbarrel grenade launchers so it is even more powerful
Tip to take full advantage of the AC42's rapid burst. Hold the trigger button down during bursts then repeat the same way for the following burst. If you mash the button the burst rate will be the slowest and not correct.

Long time viewer, first time commenter, and one of the 70% unsubscribed (hahahaha)! Skill cannon is an apt description. Can confirm it’s worth the time investment. I also I agree with the sentiment that a lot of the weapons are in a good place. It’s almost easier to call out the bad guns.

@@EndersFPS I have considered subscribing previously and have been considering it again after this upload, and your gun attachment content, both of which are well delivered and high quality. The reason I didn't end up subscribing was I got a little tired of the content while the game wasn't in a good place. I appreciate where you were coming from, but for me personally, it became a bit much and tiring as the game didn't improve and each upload seemed to get angrier and angrier. I value your skillset and the tips I glean from your content, but it became more about how bad the game was. I'm unashamedly a bit of a casual now that I've become a bit more senior at work, and don't have the time I once had available for games. Games and gaming content is a way to unwind and appreciate the skill of others (especially those who can articulate what they are doing well for others to learn from too). Uthermal (SC2) is a bloody great channel.
I’d have to disagree. I think weapons with skill gaps should be “overpowered.” The player using hard to use weapons should be highly rewarded. It’s not a 2042 weapon but a good example is the M3 Infrared from BFV. It had a giant scope that took up a lot of screen space and looking through the scope was off-putting since it was a black and white filter instead of a good scope picture. If one got past those things, the M3 was easily the best gun in the game. It was an assault gun on the recon class with excellent performance at a variety of ranges where the recon just simply couldn’t compete at with most of the other guns. Plus it’s one of the few guns in the game with a suppressor and that only amplified the effectiveness of the rifle compared to everything else.

I think the scar, svk and bsvm can beat it in a 1v1 with the same skill level. I think they need to buff the dm7 it kind of sucks compared to every other dmr.

The gun excels in certain situations, but the average player struggles in those 1v1 strafe moments, one mis timed click can set you back
You only get less recoil on PC and newest consoles using controller, the PS4 and Xbox one versions still have massive recoil
Of course this gun will look overpowered in the hands of a M&K player farming Console controller players.
