But we need to be in the receptive mood in order to receive the grace of the god. As rightly pointed by sadguru God is not our agent, and we are so limited in our capacity, in order to receive grace we need to be in a receptive mode

Let’s say I’ve a very close friend who knows me so well, I wouldn’t think since he/she knows me so well, I’m not gonna thank him/her even I want to. And I feel this way to God too
That's right, God wants all of his Creations to talk to him and have a relationship with Him, otherwise why would He make Them and how would there be love between Them? And God may have everything already written but as we premeditate our destiny, only prayer can change fate. The point that is being diluted is that God may answer peoples prayers in different ways as He knows best and is the best of planners.
It depends with the content of the prayer. Most people pray to ask God for this or that. We should pray to worship God and ask for His will to be done, not ours. As much as the Bible says we should make our petitions known to God, it also says that God knows our hearts. He already knows what we want. So we should spend more time exemplifying him so as to fully experience the rest. That's why the Bible says seek first the Kingdom of God and the rest shall be added to you. You cannot seek the Kingdom without listening, because we currently don't know much about it. That's why meditation is important as it allows us to listen.

So basically it's not about the way you choose to approach God, it's the will to meet Them what matters.
In prayer,we also thank god for his blessings n grace on us.

We don't know if god exists or not - what we know is that we are a creation of life and have our own actions. So going on what sadzinio has mentioned, take time for inner engineering, understand you as creation. Stick to what you know, your experience. The path will be different for everyone. You could be drinking half a bottle of whiskey, achieve enlightenment simply because you are aware that you are creation.. The more your aware, the likely it'll happen. Shiva was intoxicated, but in addition practiced meditation for example. Many paths, simply be creation and life.

I disagree. Prayer is asking for something or thanking for it. A conversation between the child and the father. I don't tell him what to do, I ask for guidance, health, etc. and thank him for all the good in my life. Never be afraid to ask, isn't that what we always say?

God (Father/Source/Creator/Supreme Being) already knows what I want. I don't have to pray for what I want, I have to clear my mind of negativity and be in thankfulness that the things I want can and will be mine. A meditative mind clears out the noise and confusion so that a productive thought can emerge, maybe the perfect "good idea" that will help you achieve your desires.

Two years ago I had to have quadtruple bypass surgery. 2-80 percent blockage, 2-90 percent blockage. Everything went so prefect. I realized I couldn't pray for anything so perfect. So now I don't pray. I just thank God for all he has done for me. Seen and unseen.
Prayer is not simply about asking God for (fill in the blank). Prayer can and is thanksgiving, connection, guidance (often unsought, yet given), and simply marinating in the Presence of God.🙏🏻

And i can feel the calmness and it is paradice of now in the moment i can feel it💜🙏 I practice kundalini meditation and i am a Reiki healer third degree master class. I am connected to god and god is too with me, this is all becuz of prayers, if i pray it's like personally talking to him, thanking him, saying about my problems and telling him to take me to the correct path while on the other hand I don't think meditation would work the same like prayer obviously they both are different but meditation just can't be the only thing, it doesn't work like we pray. Praying is much more better than meditation, talking to god is the best thing to do! Praying works for me, my life literally changed since I started believing in god and praying to him!!

Prayer isn't just about asking for help... but also to thank for... Prayer keeps us connected, the fear of the creator will keep us grounded and v can always be taking the right path. This is my interpretation of prayer.

Dear friends,Noha didn't survive of his own he was saved by the Almighty by just obeying to act according to the plans God gave him.prayer is not telling god about your idea but yelling to help for fulfilling the needs according to gods wish. I believe in prayers . As prayers always work . I don't throw ideas on God I just request to end my suffering or my deprivation for something. Then most of the times like 99.9 percent I get what I request. Prayers make a string connection between God and the person. I just can't sit and wait and see when my particular painful situation ends. Sometimes my prayers worked within minutes . Things that were considered almost impossible happened after I made prayers

Praying to God means you are subconsciously affirming your separation from Him. That is contradictory to what you want to originally accomplish (oneness with Him). Hence "shutting up" or being still or silence is the only sensible act that supports the objective of uniting with Him. What a relief when one discovers/realizes there is no need to pray!

Saying that praying to God is telling God what to do is far from the truth. We pray. We give him praise. Spoken words are very powerful. There is a time to open ones mouth and give praises and rejoice in the Lord and a time to listen.

I pray for you, people. Everybody comes to this world with the need to express themselves. If you're someone who are starting to now suppress your inherent desire to express your being through words - for fear of getting fallen in with what is framed "God" or anything - I'll let you know a prayer is about you, about feeling good and watching your being pray in a way that makes you and the world one. Don't fear to pray. No need to suppress the flow coming from the bottom of your heart. Just pray if you fell like to.
