A piece of pottery that breaks is put back together not by hiding the cracks but by accentuating them and making it into something more beautiful than it was before. It's called Kintsugi and it's really beautiful, I suggest you look it up. I feel like that's what good grief is, but that's just my opinion.

As a big Dessa fan, I could never get into this. It totally sounds like wannabe-Quinine. (1) Her delivery is incredibly sloppy, as sloppy as I ever seen her rap/sing. She’s mumbling half the song. (2) The lyrics are the worst. Dessa is known for talented writing skills. This was garbage. She was running on empty repeating “good grief” as if she’s a commercial artist trying to create an eardrum. (3) The sound is real bad, the mixing could be better but this song is all over the place. There’s some gospel choir singing alongside some periodic rapping over some indie pop sound. (4) But, worst of all, the concept of good grief. What the hell is the concept here? Good grief sounds like an oxymoron. It’s a phrase often said in sarcastic moments to refer to something bad. I have no clue what she’s blabbering about. I don’t think she put much thought to writing this crap. She depended way too much on her vocals which even sound lackluster. Very disappointing here.
