Hmmm...I'm glad to see that Dessa is trying out new styles, but I liked her earlier style of singing better. Her smoky alto is killer. But I'm always excited to discover new Dessa songs! Wish I'd known she was visiting Texas last summer, otherwise, I would've gone. Keep singing Dessa, we love you!

Dessa’s was the last show I saw in February 2020, at First Avenue, before everything shut down. She didn’t do this song (to my dismay, because it means a lot to me) but I’ll always be grateful for that show. “Aren’t you tired of the upper hand?”

I heard this and sent it to him and said," Send this to her, it will seal the deal and show that you are vulnerable and really into her but not in a stalker kind of way." I just realised it is Dessa hitting the high notes at the end. I thought it was Aby. Wow. She has an amazing vocal range. They need to release the video at the same time as the single and hae all their ducks in a row but I kind of like that she is a bit quirky and not a slick marketing machine.
