You saved from a horrible customer service issue. I accidentally recorded in AVCHD and was not sure how to get the footage. Now I can get the edits done. I can't thank you enough
THANK YOU! we shot something for class; pulled the footage; realised it's avchd. honestly was too embarrassed to go figure it out [because i saw all the footage] so thank you so much for this. much much thanks. truly appreciate it. be well.
THANK YOU! For a year I tried to do something with this piece of shit. All tutorials I have watched give me nothing. Because of you, now I can prepare a holiday movie - THANK YOU A LOT! All Good to You!
These unsupported files are precisely what I need, as I’m going to edit with multiple cameras. I followed your steps and ended up with several cut files instead of one 40-minute-long interview file
Final Cut and iMovie have no troubles editing the footage which is on a AVCHD formatted SD card, as long has it has ALL the files on it, not only the .mts files. Than it gets difficult. But my other NLE of choice, LumaFusion, can not handle .mts files. In that case your method is very handy.
I did what you showed, it works good, Thank You, But after I get done, I pull the SD card, and I can not find files, (I have a MAC) new user. how can I store them?
I don't think there is a limit- obviously the larger the clip size the longer the conversion will take and you will need the proper storage size for that conversion file. Best thing is to try some in hand break.

Is there a quality or length limit with using hand break?

Sorry to be dramatic but I love you
Thanks BRO!
To convert AVCHD, Avdshare Video Converter is also highly recommended to convert AVCHD to MP4, MPG, Apple Prores, MOV, etc
Very imformative but please get rid of the background music.
