My favorite childhood memories are swimming in the creeks and ponds. Creeks were my favorite. Swinging off the hay bales into a big pile of hay, exploring the woods and going barefoot. Those are a few of my favorite things.
The binding tool that you received in the March Sew Sampler box is my all time favorite - and I've tried lots of tools and techniques over the years. In fact, I have bought many of them as I give them to my quilting buddies. I've laminated the directions as I pull them out each and every time I use the tool. Hope you'll try it and let your viewers know what you think. Enjoy starting my day with you....will be having withdrawal while you are away! But ENJOY your trip!
Pat can u do a wee demo sometime with scrap fabric on how to use the mitered corner square ruler In this box if you think it would be helpful to us. Tks
Hello, it's a beautiful day in the Sloan Zone! Sweet Childhood Memories is looking fantastic. It's hard waiting to see each week's block & how it will fit in with all the rest of the blocks. Enjoy your daily video tremendously. Have a safe trip to your mother's & hope she has a 100% recovery from her knee surgery. See you next time online 😊
Hi Pat! Don't remember how I started my day before I started it with you and coffee each morning. As a result, it was very considerate of you to time your holiday to coincide with a business trip I will be taking, which will make it difficult to watch your videos in the morning:) So hopefully I will not feel your absence too keenly. This BC Canadian, will be travelling to your neck of the woods (D.C.) so you will likely be in my thoughts as we trade topography for 10 days.
Summer in NH is the best! Not too bad the rest of the year either, as that is where I live and experienced my childhood memories. So happy you had fun here too Pat.
I have the cut right binder tool. I use it now all the time to connect my binding pieces when attaching to my quilts. It’s a very cool tool - I wouldn’t be without it now. There are a few TH-cam tutorial videos. I hope you like it too. Thanks for all you do for us - I watch your videos each morning.
Love the border on the Sweet Childhood Memories quilt. That summer blue is beautiful. Time to start those HSTs for me. So, it’s decision time on fabric choices. Ooh, I would love some of that summer blue.
The marking pen from Quilters Select is amazing. You can mark on the fabric and it does disappear. Been using it for a few years and nothing has ghosted or shadowed back.
Pat, should we always link from your page to the FQS no matter what we are purchasing? Does this help your small family business? I usually just go straight to their website but will certainly go through yours if that makes a difference.
Kaye please use my links. i get ZERO credit if you do not use my links. EVERYTHING you buy at the shops i mention helps my small family business. that is so sad you never helped me out. patsloan.typepad.com/shop_with_pat_sloan/
i must be missing the comments i went to the bottom and all i see are the pictures of all the blocks and the numbers 1 -16 but i don't see the comments(sorry sometimes I have issues with webpages
Pat if you are doing single HST at the end of each border and in the cornerstones, you need 12 single HSTs. I think you just saved out 4. I may be wrong but it seems like that is what you are doing.
