I was in Brighton last November and could not resist in swimming, but close the newer Pier and thinking to your video with this marvellous music: after more than a decade those images are fix in my mind. Compliments!
I remember hearing this song in 2007, years ago.. it's still very inspiring and I love this video.... it might not be much but I still appreciate you posting it. With all my heart, thank you.
I remember hearing this song a few years ago for the first time. Things were very different then. Lovely movie you have here; I enjoyed reading your blog post about your experience.
Very beautiful video. It really touched something inside of me. I love your choice of music, so intense. Your videos are very symbolic. I lack words...
Zoe Keating is another good listen too, if you're interested in music like this. :-) Beautiful film, btw, this is one of my favourite songs. Love your work. :-)
@Melokaliju 'Susanna and the magical orchestra' Their music is kind of melancholic and quiet but at the same time it explodes (or at least what if feels like for me).
This video is a marvel. Is it birds flying by at 1:03 & then 1:23 & again 1:35 or just pixels on my screen? (I know the answer, since they are both) The story behind it is a miracle, too. Thanks God you are so fit and still here, sharing your poetry with us. Reminds me of an afternoon in the Mediterranean when I decided to swim towards the sunset, and was so far from the shore I had to be rescued by a boat. Thanks for sharing, brother.
Does anybody know an artist who makes a lot of more sound like this? something? whatever,or symply other songs, just tipp me! really enjoy listenning to this....
It may not be exactly what you're looking for but check out Sunwrae here on youtube, she's a hidden gem. I'm planning on making a film for one of her tracks at some point.
The description of the song is "esmerine - why she swallows bullets and stones" Esmerine = band why she swallows bullets and stones = song This isn't godspeed

Esmerine are members of godspeed, and the album this track is from is called Aurora.
@Melokaliju try Zoe Keating for Cello... DId you hear the collab between Esmerine and Patrick Watson?
Amazing.You are
professional. ^^
Because the members of Esmerine were involved with Godspeed and both bands are on the same label: constellation records
I wish they would put this song on iTunes. :( I really want it.
Yes.
@Melokaliju check out Rachel's. check out Sylvain Chauveau. and check some of the minimalism of Steve Reich, Philip Glass, Arvo Pärt...
@thechickenpicker you're kinda mixing'em wrong:) post-rock is only a genre with lots of subgenres.
of which album by GODSPEED YOU.. is this from?
damn, actually I see where you're coming from. i guess there's some sort of metaphor to the guy going out to sea.
