Pink Floyd are deeper than the Mariana trench, smoother than a quantum stabilized atom mirror, cooler than an iceberg in a river of liquid nitrogen and more zen than 1,000 Buddhist monasteries. Glad you enjoyed this lads Floyd has hundreds of awesome songs, follow the rabbit hole!

Lost my dad to a heart attack two years ago. He died right in my arms. Every time we heard this song in the car I would always ask him to tell me about the story of him seeing Pink Floyd in concert for the first time. It was a story that never got old for me and apparently not for him either. He always had a genuine smile on his face while he spoke and you could see the joy in his eyes of happier, simpler times. As always, love you guys and keep rocking on. You will always have fans in this house. Thank you ❤❤❤

Especially the writer of the song who lost his friend to something he had no idea how to help. One of if not there best songs.

Okay, dudes, so that you understand: Pink Floyd music was not and is not meant for mainstream radio airplay. They found incredible success in “non-commercial” music. Taste in their music isn’t for everyone, but they have proved time and time again that their non-radio music is a huge success. Yes, it just may not be to your taste. That’s ok.

I HIGHLY recommend listening to the entire Dark Side of the Moon album, from track 1 to the end. Even if you break it up over time. The whole album is only around 45 minutes too, so not that much time to spend for something SO worth it. I am positive you guys will dig it. from a pure artistic standpoint, Pink Floyd is the greatest rock and roll band of all time. Because you don't just listen to Pink Floyd; you experience it! It's something you can feel in your whole body.
And not all their music is slow. But most is admittedly played at a more leisure pace than prototypical rock bands - because their music is about vibing and reflection; it's music for the soul. that you just close your eyes and lose yourself in it.

Pink Floyd definitely had some loud sounds but they were the epitome of acid rock. Mellow trippy rhythms with soft spoken lyrics.

There is nothing like a friendship that was based on watching out for each other while we served. I’m not afraid to say it but I love my brother we will be best friends till we die.

This band hits different. You reacted to comfortably numb a few months ago, which was a great reaction. If you're going to check out more Floyd, I would recommend taking them in albums. Not necessarily in one video, but start with the first song of an album and then do the second whenever, then the third, etc. You'll get a lot more from it. These guys wrote some pretty deep lyrics. The album this song is off of, this being the title track, is no exception. It's about an original band mate, "Syd Barrett," who literally went insane and was committed.

You guys are killing me. I am a white boy ?.. sic ... I was a white boy from an all white town entering the army of 1986. I formed an all white Cadre of soldiers of my basic training platoon. We were as divided along racial lines as you could get. One day a group of black soldiers ambushed me in the baracks .... 7 to one. I readied myself to a beat down, I had it coming. The black guy said "what the fuck are you listenin' to"? He clicked my player and Metallica started playing ... all of us started moshing .... we laughed and yelled ... I haved never been the same since. We are the same people, seperated by the conversation we haven't said.

Now you goin in deep! Pink Floyd is an experience and you really have to do complete albums because each song on their albums tell a page of the story and when you do like you’re doing now and you’re skipping to three quarters through the book. If you listen closely during the guitar solo you can hear the angelic voice of one David Gilmour singing it with his guitar.

One of my favorite bands. If you ever get the chance to see Roger Waters, you definitely should. It’s a spiritual experience. Check out Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun, All Of Dark Side Of The Moon Album, All Of Wish You Were Here, All Of Animals, All Of All Of The Wall, Learning To Fly, Sorrow, Take It Back, & High Hopes. Dark Side Of The Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, & The Wall are concept albums, they all tell a story so it’s better to listen to the whole album instead of the individual songs

Good to see you reacting to this older music, these older rock bands had a lot of things going on at the time that influenced their songs. Think of the '60s, there was a lot going on politically and musically. Rock music was coming up and even giving birth to sub-genres - blues-rock, rock'n'roll, punk rock, etc.
    Couple of react suggestions:
    - Krayzie Bone - Clash of the Titans, which is a reaction to Eminem's Rap God. You can read up on Bone's influence in music.
    - Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms (On the Night Live). These guys are from northern England and Mark Knopfler's guitar rifts are out of this world. This song was written during 1982 when Britain was involved in the Falklands war.

Did you guys do the live version of Comfortably Numb? If not, then you definitely should. Especially with how much you guys loved Eric Clapton and his guitar playing. David Gilmour's solo on Comfortably Numb from The Pulse tour was amazing. He's a God on the guitar, just like Clapton. Those types of players are on a whole other level. Basically, there's life before you've seen that performance, and then there's life after watching that.

It was so sad because Syd Barret was a complete genius but he suffered with schizophrenia and was institutionalized his whole life after he had a full breakdown, Drugs and the epic success of the band just put him over the edge. Many of the songs are nods to his genius and he was loved and missed by the other members to this day. One of my favorite all time bands. Like you said, you can just put them on and get lost in your feelings and thoughts for sure! xx.

Shine on you crazy diamond pt1-5 (Great for mellow vibing, It's really long though and has a long intro too.)
Time (this one has an awesome guitar solo and you have to pay attention to the lyrics, although that goes for almost every Pink Floyd song)

Hey friends. When you play Pink Floyd, always listen to their live performances. They are probably the best live musicians. The guitarist who is also the front singer is recognized as one of the two best guitar players in the world. He has such control over the guitar playing and the tones like no one else. There are no wild uncontrolled sounds from his guitar playing. Remember that now Pink Floyd must be heard live. Hear music from their live concert called LIVE PULSE. For example Run Like Hell from LIVE PULS Have a good day :-)
