Professional book editors know that’s not how it works! Translators don’t work from “early or “pre-legal” or “rough draft” copies. What would be the point. They’d have to undo work they’d done when the final copy arrives, and who’s going to pay for that? Translators work from final copies. Period.
As a professional translator, I can tell you that with tight deadlines when a book is slated to be published in the original and in the translated versions on the same day, the translators do start working on drafts that then have to be updated.

Plus - allegedly - the boasting about the kill count was a very short lived (the top brass stopped it fairly rapidly) fad among SOME returned US military during the Vietnam War, highly unlikely anyone in the UK would have known that - including Harry - but there is a very good chance Meghan would have known, either through her connection to Hollyweird - I've seen a couple of films where comments like that have been made - or through meeting people who served back then, presumably who found work in Hollyweird after they returned. Only Anne, Alexandra, Beatrice, Eugenie and Charlotte can rightfully be called ''princess X'', all the others have to take their title from their husbands so, just like Princess Michael of Kent, the correct title is Princess William of Wales or Catherine, the Princess of Wales.
