I was with him until he said keep your utilization at 25%. A higher utilization actually hurts your score. I can see 10% if you if you're working with 0% interest cards. Secret: have multiple cards that offer balance transfers and you'll never pay interest

It also depends on how much you spend. You can keep at 10 percent with 0 APR if you are spending alot money on them tens of thousands etc. The CC company gets a percentage off each swipe or use. They also get the APR broken over 12 mos usually like .5 or 1 percent if you carry a balance, the annual fee if any and other charges. The average people dont spend the kind of money wack does so 25 percent is fair balance to keep as it will increase your chances to get higher limits.

@@josephr5030understood but a credit utilization of 25% would drop your credit vs if you had 10% utilization. Credit utilization has a large impact on credit score

Wrong info on credit. Leaving a balance and paying interest is the bad advice. Credit cards report your balance regardless for that month so paying it off to zero saves u money by not paying interest, reports usage to credit and keeps your utilization low. If you keep your utilization under 10% you will see your score continuously go up. Once you go over 10% it actually goes down. Him saying 25% is keeping a balance is keeping him from getting a higher score

Well I agree with Wack on the 5 racks (to an extent.) but MOST credit cards for instance: if give you a $5,000 credit card limit it doesn’t matter if you took out the whole 5 bands and paid it back on time the following month. the credit card companies today want to see how responsible you are with it as far as spending a little of what you need and keeping as much on the card as possible. The goal is to have a $5,000 credit card but making sure you don’t spend the whole damn thing. If you get a credit card and max it out all in one setting EVERYTIME even if you pay it back it can defeat the purpose of having one especially when you can effect your bottom line which is your credit score by doing so. Basically in my opinion you’re supposedly cover all of your bills with you active income and the card should be last resort. You know if your check for the week was shorter than usual and you can’t pay the light bill or you don’t have enough for gas knowing damn well you drive across the city everyday, 💡💡💡 that’s where the credit card comes into play, and when you know for sure you’re going to bounce back in two weeks when the next check hit THEN you put that many back on the card
