Thanks so much for featuring my battles! This team was very hard to use, I actually cut out the vast amount of battles where I straight up couldn't do anything lol. I went from 2200 all the way down to 1675 over the course of two days of the remix cup trying to get enough wins for an entertaining video hahaha. Also, the poor timing towards the end is not me, I swear! I play on Android and had horrendous stutter lag!! 😅 Anyways, running spice is fun, but very difficult lol
QOTD: I'd like to think Sound would be completely ineffective against Bug since lots of bugs are deaf so sound wouldn't affect them anyways, and super effective against psychic as loud sounds could probably pretty easily disrupt meditation
It actually was poor timing unfortunately - let me explain. You got a 1 turn bring in when you swapped in Chatot. Because of that, you could only technically throw 1 fast attack and the charge move. You threw two, which is 5 total turns with the 1 turn bring in. There is a way to tell if you are going to get that 1 turn bring in- when your slamming the button to switch out, if it doesn't let you preload that swap out instantly after the charge move, like your tapping and not swapping yet, that means you are getting 1 turn bring in. If you watch it closely on the playback you will see what I mean.
@VideoGamer110 i think it's technically a bug that's just never been fixed. It's a really stupid mechanic and incredibly inconsistent. Luckily it is possible to tell when it's happening, but doesn't change that it totally sucks and needs to not be a thing lol
QOTD: Since apparently most insects are deaf, it'd be cool to see bug either resist sound or even have it be stretched into a full-on immunity, to make the bug typing a little better defensively 🐛
@@Gatebreakerglitchersteel is supposed to be a defensive type. It resists a bunch of types, but doesn't really do much offensively(think about how few steel types actually run steel type moves). And even so, it's already weak to Annihilape, Poliwrath, and the mudboys, and gets farmed down by incinerate users. I think an additional weakness could tip the scales into making it a subpar type.
QOTD: I feel like sound should be strong against psychics(hard for psychics to concentrate with all the noise, and the sound drowns out any invasive thoughts), but psychic is already getting bullied with only one resist other than itself, three weaknesses, and only two types weak to it. Sound could be SE against Dark for the same reason as the cliche of whistling/singing in the dark, and also because music can be uplifting in dark times.
Sound typing should be super effective against water, steel and ground as sound travels farther in those mediums, along with fairy for gameplay/balance. Its resistances would be ghost, electric and grass. Bug should be immune because that typing really needs some milk.
QOTD: All I know for sure is it’s a great way to nerf steel by making it super effective against it. It makes sense too as far as sounds waves traveling through the metal
I think sound should be SE against steel, water, and one of the following: dark, fighting, or fairy. Should be resisted by electric and normal, so normal has one other resistance besides just ghost.
From chatgpt: If "Sound" typing were added to Pokémon, it would likely interact with other typings in a way that reflects the characteristics of sound in the Pokémon universe. Here are some possible interactions: 1. **Strengths and Weaknesses Based on Sound Properties:** - **Strengths:** Sound could be super effective against Pokémon that are sensitive to vibrations or sound waves. This might include Rock-types (since sound can cause vibrations), Steel-types (sound can resonate and cause structural issues), and possibly Electric-types (since electricity can interact with sound waves). - **Weaknesses:** Sound-based Pokémon might be weak to Pokémon that can absorb or nullify sound waves, such as Ghost-types (which can be intangible and thus unaffected by physical sound) or Psychic-types (who might have mental shields against auditory attacks). 2. **Interactions with Other Types:** - **Electric:** Sound moves through air, which is a poor conductor of electricity, so Sound-types might resist Electric-type moves. However, Electric-types might be resistant to sound-based moves if they generate electromagnetic fields that disrupt sound waves. - **Rock:** Sound can cause vibrations in solid objects like rocks, making Rock-types vulnerable to sound-based attacks. - **Steel:** Similar to Rock-types, Steel-types could be vulnerable because sound can resonate through metal, potentially causing structural issues. - **Ghost:** Ghost-types could be immune to certain sound-based attacks since they are not physical entities affected by sound waves. - **Psychic:** Psychic-types might have abilities to block or manipulate sound waves mentally, affecting their vulnerability. 3. **Moves and Abilities:** - New moves could be introduced that are sound-based, like "Sonic Blast" or "Resonance Wave," which could have varying effects depending on the opponent's type. - Abilities of Sound-type Pokémon might include sound manipulation, amplification, or even silencing abilities that disrupt opponents' abilities to use sound-based moves. 4. **Dual Typing:** - Sound typing could be combined with other types to create interesting dual-typing combinations. For example, a Sound/Fairy Pokémon might use sound waves for offensive and supportive purposes, blending auditory attacks with fairy-like charm and magic. In essence, the introduction of Sound typing would add a new layer of strategic depth to Pokémon battles, requiring trainers to consider how sound waves interact with the physical and elemental properties of each Pokémon type.
@@GatebreakerglitcherI thought about Primarina! But ultimately I thought Chatot insane glassiness would be more interesting to watch than a waterfall/charmer
Idc about the logic, but if it's sound type or something else. It needs to be strong against fairy. Fairy is the newest type that is strong to counter dragons that used to be OP, but now fairy is hella OP. Poison and steel moves are not that common, and that being it's only 2 weaknesses is ridiculous.
Qotd: Bug, Ground and Psychic should resist sound. Steel should be weak to sound. Fairy could be weak to sound. (this one has no logic, just balance reasons) Maybe Ghost could be weak to sound. Think this could be acceptable?
Qotd: could be super effective to fighting and normal and be resisted by ghost and psychic. And i basically came up with that for reasons normal resists everything but fighting and it just makes sense ig😅
I'm normally around 2200 on average but I dropped all the way to the 1700s over the course of two days trying to get battles that weren't absolute curb stomps 😂😭
I'd have Sound type be super effective to Steel, Water, Ice and Rock. Not effective on Flying, Ground and Ghost. Ineffective against Fighting. Give Sound moves a chance to inflict Headache (or a better name) that halves s.atk (hard to think clearly with a headache or constant loud noises) and has a 10% chance to cause the inflicted pokemon to not attack (like infatuated)

@@PokeSourcegotcha, I understand! I don't think that one of the game's main mechanics (swapping Pokemon) should be inconsistent, but I understand. 😅

Would be too much to be honest.. already weak to ground, fire, and dark

I like this. Psychic needs a nerf, mostly because of Cresselia. And bug typing is just a joke.
