My rule is that if you wouldn’t do it in front of the other person it’s cheating whether a little or a lot. I’m loyal and respectful, I expect the same in return.

All these forms of ''micro-cheating'' are red flags for me. They are clear signs that you are not honest, you do not respect me and you are prone to sleep around and i am not ok with any of that. I heard/read an excellent viewpoint on the "are humans really meant to be monogamous?" argument. I think it's fair to assume that humans are the custodians of this planet, inasmuch as we are the only intelligible species that can meaningfully impact our own outcomes. To that end, the values and virtues that we pass on down the generations directly impact the fate of our existence. Given that almost all studies point to the fact that children from loving 2 parent households fare better physically, emotionally and financially, and that humans have a long period of dependency of upwards of 16-18 years at the minimum, it is almost certain that a monogamous relationship is in the best interest of a better future for our race.

Definitely cheating. 2:02 Steve is spot on! That is why meeting your "soul mate" is so important. A man can stare and gawk at a hundred women in a week, sleep around like a dog in heat, but.....when he meets that special woman that captures his heart, he won't want to stray. I never told the one I love how jelous she made me when she flirted with someone infront of me. I just bottle the feelings and idk. when I tried to ask her out she woudl say she bussy. I believe that flirting is cheating in the way it is opening up the way to the physical side and gives the impression that you are still looking and that the one your with isnt good enough or worthy enough for you to stay monogamous and faithful..even if you say harmless flirting isnt bad it still is and gives the other parrty the wrong impression

I feel like when discussing these types of situations we only talk about the men cheating but what about the women they cheat with because some of these women know that the man is in a committed relationship/ married and sometimes they would still pursue these men. I'm not saying we let the men off but I would like to see them discuss this part of the situation also.
My boyfriend (19) went clubbing and hit on a man he told me about this when he was drunk but he has a habit of just saying what he thinks I want to hear and we had an argument over it and he’s story kept changing. I can’t work out if I’m over reacting over the flirting but either way i can’t trust him to tell me the full story

If you have to go through somebody's phone then what's the point of wasting time and sanity being with them, relationships are challenging enough without all the extra. So thankful I am not a single woman in this day and age. My husband can lay his phone down in front of me when he gets in from work go take a shower or whatever he never has to worry about me looking his phone and vise/versa I have TOTAL trust in him and he in me. I have never heard of micro cheating, cheating is cheating point blank.

Adultery begins when you lust after another person that is not your spouse.
It is called DISRESPECT.
This depends on culture. In Hispanic culture we hug and kiss people we are closed to even if it's not our spouse. We have bonds that begin from childhood. Just because your childhood friends of opposite gender are in committed relationships doesn't mean we stop communication. Perhaps it's not culturally acceptable in America but more open in Latin America and Europe. Not saying is right to hide this from your spouse. If you invite your spouse to network of friends I think it's okay.
Hiding the phone? Something is up. I would love to find a man who would let me use his phone without him having a mini heart attack lol. I have nothing to hide so my SO can see my phone all day. I dont hide my phone. But it would piss me off if I found out my partner felt she had to look through it. Kalvin Smith That was my thing though. Feeling the need to HIDE the phone. I don't agree with checking phones either because that shows a lack of trust. But i can't help feeling a certain way if he purposely hides it from me. That is hiding something, whether its a woman, porn,etc. Its something he doesnt want me seeing. I wouldn't blame anyone for being a bit suspicious. As far as you mentioning the lady at work who texts your phone in that case i think communicating with your partner is a good approach there. I believe if a man has never lied or cheated or even gave you a reason to think he has then checking the phone is way too much.

monogamy issue comes from psychological issues. there are many studies that have proved this, but most eye opening study was done by doctor/scientist Dr Sue Johnson, she opened her own research facility in uk, 20 plus years of research findings have proved cheating comes from psychological unresolved issues, trauma and pain that have not been properly worked through. mostly from childhood upbringing. but also bc the sexual partner becomes the projection screen of the other partner’s parent’ drama and wounds. im actually amazed in a negative way that the so called doctor on the show did not mention this knowledge and research findings.

I don't think not bringing up your partners name in a conversation is cheating.
They didn't mean a random short conversation. They were talking about cases where somebody is obviously flirting and/or hitting on you. Even if u don't mention him/her on your own in such cases the other person usually will ask general questions about you during which a mention of being married and/or having kids is a must if u want to consider yourself honest with both your spouse and the guy/chick you are talking with.
