For your subversive may pattern just finish that heart at the end and BOOM! It's a finish! If you want to adopt an lns I can speak highly of Acorns and Threads in Portland Oregon. They are my lns and the owner and staff are all fabulous! Always happy to kit things up and help with substitutions if needed. They also do great events on zoom! They are a fabulous crew of people who do great events!
I haven't explored much of online zoom for cross stitch. I've always just done it solo. Maybe I will have to check something like that out.

Welcome to Flosstube! You make so much progress on your projects in such a short time…it makes me think maybe I could get some things done if only I could focus on just a few of my WIPs. I’m also a quilter (and knitter) and would love to see some quilting content :)
Thank you! I like to see substantial progress so I really do focus on just a few WIPs at a time. I feel a little chaotic right now with the number I have but so far using WIPGO is working for me. I think I will have to do some quilting content once I have a little more to show.

I'm glad I did too! I used to do a lot of granny squares. It was kind of a phase. lol. I will have to get something together to share my other creations.

Great first video. Enjoyed seeing all the marine-themed cross stitch. You certainly have a variety of talents: sewing, dyeing, and cross stitching. You might want to check out a full coverage at charting creations. It's based on art work and is called "What lies beneath." I purchased this chart and cannot wait to start it. Hopefully on the birthday this year. Look forward to your next video.
Thank you! I like to try different things and don't always succeed, but I have fun which is what really matters. If I get brave enough to do a big full coverage I will definitely check out Charting Creations.
Welcome to FlossTube! My projects are filled with animal hair too... haha! I love Dissent Stitch for needle minders too! I have like 3 of them or something, they are amusing for sure! That Whale stitch is stunning! I do mostly full coverage and the easy guide is amazing for them! Love all your projects, looking forward to seeing your progress!
Thank you! I have never done a full coverage and I am worried I won't like it (I get bored if I don't feel like there is progress), but the designs can be so beautiful. I have two 200x200 stitch ones I will try out first and see if I am brave enough to do a bigger one.
Yeah I like to mix the big ones up with the smaller ones to feel accomplished! haha! I agree to start with some smaller ones, maybe with out so many colors before you dive into a HAED or something! But it is very satisfying when you start to see it coming together!@@nautinautilus
The Hathaway Stichers showed a pattern that Amity had designed years ago. Since you love sharks this would be right up your alley. It’s titled Have a Great White Christmas. It has a giant shark in it. They are new as well. They have a video where they show their finishes. And the shark is in it.
I saw her Great White Christmas and would likely consider stitching it. I'm not a seasonal stitcher but I thought the pattern was fantastic.
I love nautical and marine life themed cross stitch and am working on the calamity tapestry so this is the ideal channel for me 😁
How exciting! I haven't seen many people working on the Calamity Tapestry. I look forward to sharing my progress, even if it is slow.
@@nautinautilus I haven’t stitched on it in ages because the sheer size of the piece of fabric I bought for it is overwhelming 😅 but seeing other people stitch it encourages me to pick it up!

Enjoyed your video! I have a thing for lighthouses. I have often thought of starting some of the Dimensions Gold petite lighthouse kits. I also knit and crochet and my dog’s dna has been added to every project!
The lighthouses are beautiful, but I don't know if I will decide to stitch them or not.

I am from all over, but mostly southern California and the LA area. Some of my best memories are from Catalina Island. I was fortunate to spend some time there during college and adore the island.
Great job on your first video. I love the cats have arrived. I’m a cat lover too. We just have a hairless cat so I don’t have to worry about cat hair on my projects 😂
I just saw the gentleman kit and got so excited! I have the same kit.
I was gong to say if you have a hairless cat...lol. I've always wanted a hairless cat but my cats came into my life in a way that didn't necessarily take my preferences into consideration. Two were strays found by someone I know and the third was adopted to be a companion to one of them so it was more about personality and compatibility and not what I preferred.
