Hey, it's great to see you again! Congratulations on your sloth finish; it's adorable! ❤ I haven't done a Tiny Town yet, but the Seaside one is my favorite. I get the conundrum of buying a pattern when you don't need one to make a very similar quilt. I can look at a picture and make my own pattern, why wouldn't I do that? I have bought a couple patterns to save time and brain energy.
I think it is an interesting problem given that so many traditional designs are just available for free and we get used to that idea. I do try to support designers when I can.

I'm so sorry to hear that you're getting laid off. I know I'm late watching this video, so I hope you've found a new job now. We were forced to move in April/May when our landlord unexpectedly sold the house we were in. 🙄 I don't like too much change, so it's been an adjustment. Have you been able to keep up with the Deadly Aquarium SAL? That was one of my birthday starts. I started it on time, and you're already passed where I am. 😂🤣 I look forward to seeing your progress. Happy belated birthday to ur kitties...from lucifur! I'm doing the LC sal too... quite behind tho!😂 I thought I'd have it done alot quicker but it is what it is! My fabric is more on the green-y side too. I also kind of abandoned my wipgo this month since I've been solely focused on trying to keep up w this sal, but maybe I'll work on those boxes later in the year who knows lol. I thought too that wipgo would help keep me more in line with my projects, but I keep throwin wrenches into my plans w new starts so...oops! Great seeing you here again! Happy stitching! 🐈⬛🪡❤️

Welcome to Flosstube!!🎉 Our crafty backstories are opposites: I learned cross stitch and crochet as a child and couldn't get the hang of crochet (until a few years ago). 😂 I love nautical themed patterns and 2 of the ones you're doing have been in my Etsy cart. 😊 It's nice to meet you. Loved the 1st video! Have you tried the scroll frame adapter bar for the Lowery stand to hold your Qsnap? I use it all the time and it’s great.

The Hathaway Stichers showed a pattern that Amity had designed years ago. Since you love sharks this would be right up your alley. It’s titled Have a Great White Christmas. It has a giant shark in it. They are new as well. They have a video where they show their finishes. And the shark is in it.
I saw her Great White Christmas and would likely consider stitching it. I'm not a seasonal stitcher but I thought the pattern was fantastic.

Well done! I live in California so I was happy to hear you are from here. My son took my profile picture on the way to Catalina. I live in the south bay and natually love beach stitches. Where did you live during your time here? Your mermaids are beautiful! I want to stitch Red, the pirate lady as well. Happy Stitching!
I am from all over, but mostly southern California and the LA area. Some of my best memories are from Catalina Island. I was fortunate to spend some time there during college and adore the island.

Enjoyed your video! I have a thing for lighthouses. I have often thought of starting some of the Dimensions Gold petite lighthouse kits. I also knit and crochet and my dog’s dna has been added to every project!
The lighthouses are beautiful, but I don't know if I will decide to stitch them or not.
I love nautical and marine life themed cross stitch and am working on the calamity tapestry so this is the ideal channel for me 😁
How exciting! I haven't seen many people working on the Calamity Tapestry. I look forward to sharing my progress, even if it is slow.
@@nautinautilus I haven’t stitched on it in ages because the sheer size of the piece of fabric I bought for it is overwhelming 😅 but seeing other people stitch it encourages me to pick it up!

For your subversive may pattern just finish that heart at the end and BOOM! It's a finish! If you want to adopt an lns I can speak highly of Acorns and Threads in Portland Oregon. They are my lns and the owner and staff are all fabulous! Always happy to kit things up and help with substitutions if needed. They also do great events on zoom! They are a fabulous crew of people who do great events!
I haven't explored much of online zoom for cross stitch. I've always just done it solo. Maybe I will have to check something like that out.

Welcome to Flosstube! You make so much progress on your projects in such a short time…it makes me think maybe I could get some things done if only I could focus on just a few of my WIPs. I’m also a quilter (and knitter) and would love to see some quilting content :)
Thank you! I like to see substantial progress so I really do focus on just a few WIPs at a time. I feel a little chaotic right now with the number I have but so far using WIPGO is working for me. I think I will have to do some quilting content once I have a little more to show.

Great job on your first video. I love the cats have arrived. I’m a cat lover too. We just have a hairless cat so I don’t have to worry about cat hair on my projects 😂
I just saw the gentleman kit and got so excited! I have the same kit.
I was gong to say if you have a hairless cat...lol. I've always wanted a hairless cat but my cats came into my life in a way that didn't necessarily take my preferences into consideration. Two were strays found by someone I know and the third was adopted to be a companion to one of them so it was more about personality and compatibility and not what I preferred.
