You are a professional! This was such an enjoyable video and I am going to go back and watch your previous episodes. You have inspired me to take a look at what I have sitting in my bins.
We are definitely now flosstube friends! Thanks for sharing your organization. I really like the Michael's photo storage thing you do. I am also definitely stealing the quilt for needleminder storage idea. You're going to love Stitch Con. I admit I found it strange when people told me that they were stitch fans, but I loved it and it validated the time I spend on my videos. Say hi to your flosstube friends - they will be so grateful and probably awkward too.
Love how you organized with supplies on hand. I recently organized my Dmc floss using sandwich bags, that I labeled with the Dmc numbers, hole punched and placed on a dowel rod that rests atop an inexpensive but not unattractive storage bin. It’s not a system that would get pinned on Pinterest but I’ve been so pleased with how much easier it is to kit up projects. I hope you will find that your storage system works as well for you or only needs some small tweaks. Have fun stitching and knitting.
I do the same with the snack size baggies. I label them using an index inserted into the baggie which also helps it not be so floppy. I place my skein on one side of the card and my working floss on the other. It’s quick and easy. I haven’t punched holes into the corners yet but I have been considering it. I think the index card would also help if you planned on filing them in a box.
Hi, Sally! I am loving all your videos so much, but I think this one is my favorite so far. 😊 You showed us so many great ideas for storage and organization… for all your hard work and for sharing your wondrous stash and beautiful knitting! 💗 Meline
I love Kevin in the pattern binder, lol! Loved seeing all your organizational tricks, I have that same photo box sitting empty, and I think I'll use it the same way!
SO glad that you suddenly appeared…I the algorithms are doing their job as I faithfully watch many of your friends (I’ll be checking out the ones that you mention too!). I have an autistic son as well, he’s such an amazing human and I am blessed to be his mom. I look forward to seeing your future videos, love your ‘and’ concept!! Happy Mothers Day💖✨
Sally, you are adorable! Love your stitching. I have never heard of the frosted pumpkin but I love the pieces you are stitching. I am struggling on my organization for both my crossstitching and quilting. You have given me some great ideas. Thank you so much! I am turning 72 this month so my life expectancy is dwindling. I need to be organized if I'm going to get things done.
I LOVE the colors you have selected for your heirloom quilt cardigan. I look forward to seeing it all come together. I was considering doing it with the adaptations Marci from Sprinkled Fibers did with hers. 💕🧵🪡✂️🧶
Hi Sally! Love your videos. You are so cute and bubbly. Loved watching your organizing part. Gave me some ideas. I've only been stitching for 2 years. And I'm 75 yrs young. I also am a quilter, and a knitter. Love your seaside tiny town. I would love to make a drum but I have never stitched on anything but Aida.
First time watcher here and new subscriber. I loved your organizing tour!! I also live in a small house (built circa 1940 if you can imagine the closet space... or lack there of, haha!) where there is not a dedicated crafting room. I've developed some corners here just like you. Personally I love it, because my supplies make me happy and I want them around me in my everyday spaces. It's so fun and inspiring to see another stitcher's creative solutions! Thanks for sharing :)
Hello and welcome to Flosstube Sally! The Bougie Stitchers shouted you out as their BFF this week so I popped over to take a peek and I enjoyed your channel very much. I’ve caught up on all four of your regular videos and hope to go back and watch you .5 episodes too. Thanks for sharing!
I just started the Frosted Pumpkin Arctic Animals - my first stitchalong with them! I'm a new viewer and look forward to seeing your projects in the future.
You will love Stitch-Con. My first year I took my selfie stick so I could take pictures with all my favorite flosstubers. Talk about fan girling.🤣🤣🤣. I’ll be at weekend B this year.
Welcome!! I’m glad you enjoyed my video. I encourage you to add yarn to that bag. It’s so much fun! A bunch of stitcher friends I know have started socks recently and I couldn’t resist making some, too. Such an easy project to take with you anywhere!
Love your projects and organization system! Will you come and organize my stuff?? Also - that Backstreet Boys art piece needs to be turned into a cross-stitch pattern immediately! 😂
I tried that knit pattern (heirloom) but I could not get the hang of color work and carrying my yarn. I love your colors! I was using hot pink with olive green for my practice square but ended up scraping it.
How funny to get to the very end of finishing something and then make that mistake! I’m glad I could figure something out on the fly. Do you finish your own pieces? I’ve made MANY boo boos over the years, but that’s how you learn, right? Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
@@SallyStitchesAnd I've only ever framed a few pieces. And, I made one ornament. I don't have a ton of stitchy time, AND I have too many wips to ever finish!🤣🤣🤣
I love your flostube 4 organization. Curious where you got the clear bins in your console? I love the idea of fabric in a row on the comic book board. I am in process of organizing too
Thank you so much! The clear bins and drawers are both from The Home Edit. I believe you can get them at Walmart in the US or Canadian Tire in Canada. The bins are manufactured by iDesign and they make a huge variety of shapes and sizes.
@@kerierbe3699 hi Keri! I used Artbin Floss Finders. The photo on the product page makes it look like you can store the bobbins (just standard DMC cardboard) from “left to right”, but I felt like they fit better “front to back” even if there aren’t enough dividers between two bobbins. I needed five full boxes for the whole collection. Love your Seaside finish. I stitched it also but not a finish yet….
Craft dungeon hehehe ... Great term.
