- Wow!!! This is scary, and the fact that It was a distance away and I was looking the other direction completely caught me by surprise! Man! I caught CSX K020 over at that same crossing later but It sounded nothing like this!

I still do not get how this crappy 480p video is the most popular on my channel. Like, bruh. Also worth noting that the bell was fixed later in the day. This bell was installed the previous day, so we called the number on the crossing and told them it needed fixing. To which they did.

I think the malfunction might've caused an abnormal amount of voltage to activate the crossing which may have caused the bell to sound so sick that it should've been quarantined.

That whole crossing seemed to be missing in duty: the bell sounds like it has been drugged, and the beams go down and then suddenly up again... Looks to be like a good electrical malfunction in the whole of the system there!

I've heard electronic crossing bells sound like this before after heavy rains. Not sure if that's the case here, but it looks like it could've just rained in your video. Once they dry out, they go back to normal (usually), or so it seems. Doesn't make them any less concerning to hear. One time that stands out to me was at the Summit Street crossing in downtown Kent, Ohio in the middle of a rain shower. It sounded almost just like this video here, and caught me off guard.
