Great vision, great execution, great video! I've been working on something from a different approach but oddly similar on a Summit 7 in 1 multi-knife. It's so challenging and satisfing to retrofit a quality tool with well thought-out, self generated ideas! Keep up the awesome mods!
Amazing, beautiful work! I'm saving up for a custom "bushcraft" SAK. Scissors, Wood saw, metal file/saw, magnifier, Awl with eye and maybe an electrician's blade.
@@uiopuiop3472 in America they called it Woodcraft, living during the 1800’s in the wilderness many things were fashioned or created with the natural supplies. In Australia they call the wilderness the “Bush”. Combining the two is bushcraft.
Hello. Thank you verry much for sharing. Very nice work! Im alsow interestet how the screws hold in the scales, are they going threw the hole knife? You maybe want to Tell how you made it or get These screws Thank you for your work Greetings from Germany
I have an old long thread on MTO that walks through the history of this type of work. If you search "And so it begins.... (My adventures into Alox!)" you'll find it
Samuli Karjalainen thanks man! I'm looking for some kind of head mounted camera to start making some watch me work type vodeos but it's just hard to find the time.
I think what you're referring to is the fire steel is called a Ferro rod. I do like that modification and I'm going to give it a shot because I'm creating new scales out of blood wood for my ultra tool the the big 91 mm Swiss army knife and all I really want to keep is the tweezers and the pan so I'm going to try a custom drawer like that or a cabinet or even a hinge for the scale would be interesting
I made locking liners for pioneers but demand was so low I didn't pursue it past a few test cases. 90% of my market is locales where lockblades are banned anyhow.
Have you considered using the spring from SAK scissors inside the drawer so that the leaf of the spring holds the contents of the drawer in place? You'd be able to set the pivot into the pivot of the drawer...
Ric Harris yep that could work. I've since modified the interior to have a recess that secures the pen. So the standard toolset of pen toothpick and tweezer doesn't rattle at all. I'm adding this concept to the pioneer frame right now.
An interesting idea since you were talking about the corkscrew would be to make a slightly thicker drawer that could be flush with the corkscrew in return, you might be able to put a real toothpick, maybe even a match, etc to personalize. I’ve seen a thicker drawer on another one of your mods and I think those are cool. Is it possible to mod a corkscrew on a 58 mm? Just curious, these are awesome.
Most of the Ti conversions I build are in the 250 to 350 range. It depends on liner material and what tools you want, and any other addons like engraving, pocket clips etc
Do you sell scales and hardware? Would love to give a crack it myself I know you said your backed up but would love to just buy any scales with hardware off you. Want to gift my dad one seen him use that classic plastic I'm sure he would enjoy something like this. Great work so much craftsman ship.
Im completely in love with this! I've carried a sak pretty much everyday for 20 years and would love to get my hands on one of these..... That being said anyone know roughly how much they cost (I carry a sak because they're cheap and amazing) Thanks in advance..... Hopefully

gorgeous and unbelievable. your work is unparalleled, the cutting edge of the envelope being pushed. an inspiration to us all!!
Incredibly beautiful work!
Normally not impressed by mods on these knives, my jaw dropped when i saw the swing out drawer. Great idea.
Dude..... It's times like this when I really hate being broke as can be.... Very cool. "Nice work" is A HUGE understatement. Thanks for sharing!
Very impressive. I love the flexibility you built in. Pretty much adds the perfect touch to one's favorite SAK!
Very nice! I love it! Awesome workmanship!
Fantastic invasion, for your SAK.
Wow! That really may be the perfect SAK!
This is an excellent Idea, would love to have this on my future Minichamp.
Great innovation and skill buddy, I really like your work.
Very cool! Cant wait to order mine!
Sir. You are a master. Thank you for this.
Absolutely genius!!!

This is genious! How much do you charge for the titanium scales with the drawer? Thank you! Keep up the good work!
I kinda dig the versitility of the little drawer. The needle and thread is a good thought, or fishing line and a fishhook, or a small bit of tinder.
Great video thanks. Great little modified scales. Thanks for sharing. The thread on the needle may stop the rattle.
I LOVE THE, #ILOVEWESTSIDESAK
just bought 2 custom knives from you, cant wait to see them in person.
Getting them ready for shipment right now. 👍
Your work is awesome :)

honest question. what is brushcraft. is it like crafting with brush/bush or like car repair/maintenance

Sick SAK! Great toolset, and really cool scales. Like the drawer!
I like to EDC some Odor-Eaters shoe powder with me at all times. How many grams of powder would this drawer fit? Thanks.

Oh yes I still make and sell. Right now moslty on Instagram. @robertjlessard on IG
Brilliant! Here is a challenge. Have you developed an aftermarket way to add a locking mechanism to a blade or saw that doesn't have one.

so nice vedio, God bless

Reeeeeaaalllly cool. Good job Sir.
You can make a spring-in side the Dror that puts tension on the tools so that they won’t rattle
Had to refind this video, I was just thinking im surprised you didnt add a second drawer on the back of it.
I've done double ones for people and also extra deep ones. Trying to make similar scales for the little 58mm size now.
wow thats fantastic!
This is class! Are you still making knives?
do you still build customized victorinox? I would very much like to buy a knife from you. But how can I get in touch?
Great job how much i been to know
What screws are you using? Thank you
Mostly from knifekits. Any knife supply site sells a range.

Hi can you show a tutorial o costumising a swiss army knife just how yoy assemble and disassemble knives in detail thanks!
Im sure there's no chance, but would you still consider making one of these custom Saks?
Hey Robert will those tiny fire steel rods fit in the standard tweezer or toothpick slots?
No they fit in the drawer I made.
Can you add a drawer that is wide enough to fit a micro sd card?
I'd have to make is a slightly different shape to fit one but its possible.
what about the big sd cards . honest question #istilluselargesdcard
