After that conflict, he continued to run to the police and told them what happened. They ignored him, so he turned himself in to his local police department the next day - he may have ran there too, but can't be certain.

"What I saw" reporting is indeed journalism with a very long tradition. I don't see any claims in this case to a comprehensive, 360 degree view of events. If that's what you're after, you'll have to find a source that purports to provide it and cross your fingers.
This is intentionally deceitful reporting. The words she says are true but she leaves out facts that make what she says misleading. Widely dispersed videos show Rittenhouse being chased and attacked by all the people that he shot. The first one named Rosenbaum taunted him at the gas station saying "shoot me n____a" repeatedly. As Rittenhouse ran away Rosenbaum threw a heavy object at him and someone behind him fired a gunshot into the air. The close eyewitness says Rosenbaum cornered Rittenhouse and grabbed at his gun and was then shot during the struggle.

It's another genre of journalism that looking for.
Why will they never respond to these comments. The full video is widely availible and they would have had to intentionally edited it. 2 people have just died because of the exaggerated narrative these type of edits create. Surely this can't be legal to go unchallenged.

Then another guy hit him in the head with a skateboard after he tripped and fell, so he got smoked, too. After that, another dude starts shooting at him with a handgun, and that guy ended up getting his arm blown up with 5.56 round. After all of that, Kyle was still trying desperately to flag down any and all police officers to inform them of what happened, but was either ignored or told to stay away from vehicles as he approached them, so he eventually just went home because he literally couldn't find any cop who would even allow him to turn himself in on scene.
So you can see them running after Kyle and attacking him, but some people are still saying he just shot them for no reason. The lack of common sense is hilarious 😂

Still photographs and videos show that the man fatally shot in the road had just swung his skateboard across the back of Rittenhouse's head and neck. They also show the man who was shot in the arm as advancing on Rittenhouse with a pistol. 'Lesson here is don't bring a skateboard to a gunfight.

They cut a lot. First man threw Molotov cocktail into the boy and committed suicide. Acute lead poisoning. The second one decided to become Marquise Love #2 by kicking the boy in the head, repeated the fate of the first man, and become a hero instead. The third one pointed a Glock at the boy, received a bullet in the arm, and quickly came to a conclusion that what he needs right now is a medic, not a shooting competition. Looking at the footage, it appears Rittenhouse has a strong case for self defense. At 2:50 in his video you see that Rittenhouse is on the ground, when someone runs toward him...then stops....Rittenhouse has his rifle pointed at the person but does not shoot them. He then turns his rifle away, at which point the person who had stopped attempted to attack Rittenhouse, at which point he points the gun at the person and fires. Rittenhouse was not indiscriminately firing into the crowd at everyone...only at those people who were trying to attack him. Be interesting to see if charges against him are dropped or if he is tried and found not guilty.

It wasn't in this video above but I happened to be watching a live stream from someone there when it happened, and one of the other people shot was shot in the left arm...and the cameraman filming went to aid him with a tourniquet. But after he stepped back this cameraman yelled to a policeman that a loaded handgun was on the ground...where the person who had been shot in the wrist had been located. So that individual would appear to have been carrying a handgun when he was going after Rittenhouse. So there is another argument for self defense. That people who were pursuing him were armed and he shot only the people who were coming at him armed, or who were otherwise trying to attack him. He could have problems with being underaged at 17 and having the rifle...but in the past we have had plenty of examples in America of a 12 or 13 year old at home who used a rifle or pistol to defend their life from break ins or kidnapping attempts....and it had no effect on their right to self defense even though they were using a gun without supervision of an adult for which they legally would not normally have been allowed to possess. So it will be interesting to see if charges are ultimately brought, or dropped, and if a trial does occur whether he will walk based on self defense. It's really going to depend on if he were attacked at some point and didn't initiate the incident. If he was minding his own business and then got attacked, then it is a tragedy for everyone involved....one that highlights that chasing a person armed with a rifle may not be the best idea when you don't know what is going on. Following him at a safe distance and calling the police to report his location WITHOUT attempting to attack him might have been wiser.

I just watched the video, a guy in the crowd pulled a gun on Kyle and so Kyle shot him. The guy that got shot runs screaming off to side of street still holding his gun, hard to feel for the guy. It isn't like he got shot then pulled his gun out after, he pulled a gun and had to face the consequences.

Also, characterizes the situation as "shoot and run" when Rittenhouse clearly stayed behind to check on the man who chased him and called someone from his cell phone there before running away after seeing more people running towards him like the first man, and many people were heard yelling "Beat him up!" and "Get him!". Also also, doesn't mention that it was a graze wound to the head, and that the shot that most likely lead to his death was in his pelvic region, and most likely fired when he motioned to grab the barrel of Rittenhouse's rifle and pull it toward him (per eyewitness account AND the DA's statement).

This is intentionally deceitful reporting. The words she says are true but she leaves out facts that make what she says misleading. Widely dispersed videos show Rittenhouse being chased and attacked by all the people that he shot. The first one named Rosenbaum taunted him at the gas station saying "shoot me n____a" repeatedly. As Rittenhouse ran away Rosenbaum threw a heavy object at him and someone behind him fired a gunshot into the air. The close eyewitness says Rosenbaum cornered Rittenhouse and grabbed at his gun and was then shot during the struggle.

After all of that, Kyle was still trying desperately to flag down any and all police officers to inform them of what happened, but was either ignored or told to stay away from vehicles as he approached them, so he eventually just went home because he literally couldn't find any cop who would even allow him to turn himself in on scene.

Looking at the footage, it appears Rittenhouse has a strong case for self defense. At 2:50 in his video you see that Rittenhouse is on the ground, when someone runs toward him...then stops....Rittenhouse has his rifle pointed at the person but does not shoot them. He then turns his rifle away, at which point the person who had stopped attempted to attack Rittenhouse, at which point he points the gun at the person and fires. Rittenhouse was not indiscriminately firing into the crowd at everyone...only at those people who were trying to attack him. Be interesting to see if charges against him are dropped or if he is tried and found not guilty.
As well as what sounds like him yelling get back get back. Although it could have been a third party.

It wasn't in this video above but I happened to be watching a live stream from someone there when it happened, and one of the other people shot was shot in the left arm...and the cameraman filming went to aid him with a tourniquet. But after he stepped back this cameraman yelled to a policeman that a loaded handgun was on the ground...where the person who had been shot in the wrist had been located. So that individual would appear to have been carrying a handgun when he was going after Rittenhouse. So there is another argument for self defense. That people who were pursuing him were armed and he shot only the people who were coming at him armed, or who were otherwise trying to attack him.
He could have problems with being underaged at 17 and having the rifle...but in the past we have had plenty of examples in America of a 12 or 13 year old at home who used a rifle or pistol to defend their life from break ins or kidnapping attempts....and it had no effect on their right to self defense even though they were using a gun without supervision of an adult for which they legally would not normally have been allowed to possess.
So it will be interesting to see if charges are ultimately brought, or dropped, and if a trial does occur whether he will walk based on self defense. It's really going to depend on if he were attacked at some point and didn't initiate the incident. If he was minding his own business and then got attacked, then it is a tragedy for everyone involved....one that highlights that chasing a person armed with a rifle may not be the best idea when you don't know what is going on. Following him at a safe distance and calling the police to report his location WITHOUT attempting to attack him might have been wiser.

I just watched the video, a guy in the crowd pulled a gun on Kyle and so Kyle shot him. The guy that got shot runs screaming off to side of street still holding his gun, hard to feel for the guy. It isn't like he got shot then pulled his gun out after, he pulled a gun and had to face the consequences.
