I haven’t recruited a single plague ogre since first battle with norsca, when I loose half of unit to basic marauders. Bale trolls look kind of meh too
Depends on which ones, but in general they are slow, squishy and weak to missiles while doing mediocre damage. That being said plague ogres are a bit better considering how well to dish out damage and since we are playing Nurgle I can heal them. For regular ogres the only one I like are iron guts, as they can last much longer and aren't weak to basic missiles.

First doomstack I went for with tamurkhan, found them pretty good! Weirdly glass cannon though until you get the buffs together

Still haven't tried bile trolls, but ogre can definitely be good.
Yes plague ogres are more raw damage. Bile trolls have the rebuff and regeneration
debuff from bile trolls is good, can be stacked with other units. But yeah took a whole cycle to recruit da trolls
I have seen plague ogres wrack up hundreds of kills without breaking a sweat, just need a little healing
