    Dear Dr. Abramson. Good luck with your online course. I hope you have some moderators already setup, as the internet is full of distractors & haters. As good as your intention maybe & as respectful plus objective you have proven to be in your past presentations, opening the door to live chat may prove to be akin to the wild Wild West.

      I have a plan: check out the course information which should explain how I hope to maintain a scholarly atmosphere for those who wish to participate in the discussions.

    Prof. Abramson--this looks excellent, as usual. Unfortunately, as someone in the final stages of his own degree (history, of course) I'm simply too pressed for time beyond my own immediate studies. I hope these lectures will be available after the fact for stragglers like myself at a later time. G-d bless!

    I really enjoy your lectures, but what is your stance on "biblical maximalists" versus that of "biblical minimalists"? Personally, I prefer the scholarship of those belonging to the Copenhagen International Seminar. I would like to know what a Jew thinks of this. Also, am I wrong to assume there is no Jewish writing corpus preceding that of the Septuagint?

    • @HenryAbramsonPhD
      @HenryAbramsonPhD  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1. Glad you enjoy the lectures! 2. I try not to share my personal thoughts online, but you can read my professional opinion in the text version of these lectures. 3. I would also like to know what a Jew--probably many of them--think of the Copenhagen school. Some wrote books about it! 4. Plenty of Jewish writing predates the Septuagint. Enjoy the lectures in good health!
