They were 6-6 with a 13% chance to even make the Playoffs, they fired their OC, had a scathing report on their coach including quotes of him using 9/11 analogies, drama with their star WR, and it looked like a dead season. And then they pulled it out of the gutter, got the 2 seed and lost in the Divisional Round despite playing well for most of the game. If you told people the Bills would end the season like that I think they’d be pretty impressed. Their window will be open as long as they have Allen.

Mahomes would have easily driven the Chiefs into FG range and Buetker would have made the FG. The Buffalo missed FG did not happen with time about to expire.

If the Bills make no changes in the off season (other than the addition of new players from the NFL Draft), isn’t that kind of like the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result each time? I’m not saying the Bills need a complete personnel overhaul. I just think that it’s time for a Head Coaching change. McDermott obviously is a good Head Coach, and he’d likely land a HC position almost immediately, given his success at getting the Bills to the playoffs consistently during his tenure in Buffalo. Then, the Bills’ Front Office can see if they could land a Bill Belichick, Jim Harbaugh, or Pete Carroll, all three of them with a pedigree of success, not just in the regular season, but in the postseason as well. To be somewhat fair to Buffalo, the offense was good, just not perfect, and their defense was gutted by injuries. They couldn't stop Kansas City at all. Unfortunately, they needed to be perfect and a few big drops, a bad decision, and a missed kick sank them.

All year long the Bills said that they always play against the Chiefs in Arrowhead and they want to play against them in Buffalo. They got their chance and they blew it.
It didn’t help that Diggs dropped a big play pass and Cook dropped a sure touchdown pass. The Chiefs went through that nightmare earlier in the season. Dropped passes are drive killers.
Three big reasons the Bills fell short in the Divisional against the Chiefs, in order: 1) The Bills defensive line, which was really good throughout the regular season, again failed to show up in the biggest game of the year to date (just like against Cincinnati a year ago) with only 2 QB hits and 0 sacks -- can't be a no show against good QBs -- this is the weightiest reason Buffalo did not win; 2) Terrel Bernard (MLB) was out, and out of all the defensive injuries the Bills had managed to overcome over the season (Milano, White, Jones, Rapp, etc.), Bernard's injury they could not overcome -- he was having way too good of a season (143 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 3 INTs, 5 Pass defensed, 10 Tackles for loss -- the dude was putting up numbers similar to Fred Warner and Roquan Smith this season -- look it up). Bernard plays quick and with a lot of tenacity, and not having him to answer Kelce and Pacheco and call defensive checks was too much of a loss for the Bills defense; 3) The third weightiest reason the Bills lost was because the skill players did not execute to the level of their QB: James Cook again dropped a pass that would've been a TD -- 4-5 yds out from the endzone on a slant with a clear path to the endzone had he caught it. Killer! Sherfield almost wrapped up a big play but couldn't get it done. Then the star no. 1 Diggs dropped a 63 yard beauty which, if he caught it, his chances of breaking that one tackle and going all the way were not too bad at all. That would have been a huge play and a momentum shifter, and if he did get that TD, it would have been Bills up 31-27 in the 4th, or at least the offense would have flipped the field and had another redzone opportunity (they were 3-4 on the night in the redzone) to get into the endzone. These three main reasons are why Buffalo lost. Again, the TEAM in really important places FAILED and KC made JUST ENOUGH plays to win.
I think people need to be more specific when they're talking about the Chiefs. This is not the worst Chiefs team. Our offense may not be scoring 30 points, but our defense has never been this great either so it kind of balances out to where this is the most balanced team the Chiefs have ever had

I noticed ever since rumors surfaced Stefon Diggs wanted to leave Buffalo, he has received less touches. After Sundays game, I would want out also. This should have been an easy win for Buffalo.
For all the drops and missed field goal they want to focus on, the Bills still had a lot of luck. 4 fumbles, yet none of them were turned over. Their last drive McDuffie or Sneed could've had a chance for a pick. Then the next play Allen fumbles, but they recover it back. The only turnover was on the Bills goal line by Hardman. A TD there ends the game. Sure, the field goal would've tied it. But they'd only forced KC to punt once the entire game. There is no guarantee it goes to OT.

If the Bills make no changes in the off season (other than the addition of new players from the NFL Draft), isn’t that kind of like the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result each time? I’m not saying the Bills need a complete personnel overhaul. I just think that it’s time for a Head Coaching change. McDermott obviously is a good Head Coach, and he’d likely land a HC position almost immediately, given his success at getting the Bills to the playoffs consistently during his tenure in Buffalo. Then, the Bills’ Front Office can see if they could land a Bill Belichick, Jim Harbaugh, or Pete Carroll, all three of them with a pedigree of success, not just in the regular season, but in the postseason as well. I think Bills’ fans would “roll out the red carpet” for Belichick, Harbaugh, or Carroll because the Bills’ fan base is fed up with not being able to “get over this hump” and I think Bills’ fans are at the point where they ARE starting to feel like McDermott bares the most responsibility for the Bills’ playoff futility. I mean, the dude is becoming the Susan Lucci of NFL Head Coaches or the reincarnation of Marty Schottenheimer and at this stage of the game, is now looked upon negatively for having a superstar QB and offensive weapons galore, and yet, even with that level of talent, he is not able to even lead his talented Bills’ team to one measly SB appearance.
@@rickbrenner6079 they did add Joe Brady as OC halfway through the season and he was a great addition they finally had a run game other WR's were emerging you could say add a new defensive coordinator but I thought they did well rebounding from 6-6 plus all the injuries.
To be somewhat fair to Buffalo, the offense was good, just not perfect, and their defense was gutted by injuries. They couldn't stop Kansas City at all. Unfortunately, they needed to be perfect and a few big drops, a bad decision, and a missed kick sank them.

All year long the Bills said that they always play against the Chiefs in Arrowhead and they want to play against them in Buffalo. They got their chance and they blew it.
It didn’t help that Diggs dropped a big play pass and Cook dropped a sure touchdown pass. The Chiefs went through that nightmare earlier in the season. Dropped passes are drive killers.
That was definitely Parcells’ 2nd Super Bowl when Norwood missed not 1st.

Three big reasons the Bills fell short in the Divisional against the Chiefs, in order:
1) The Bills defensive line, which was really good throughout the regular season, again failed to show up in the biggest game of the year to date (just like against Cincinnati a year ago) with only 2 QB hits and 0 sacks -- can't be a no show against good QBs -- this is the weightiest reason Buffalo did not win;
2) Terrel Bernard (MLB) was out, and out of all the defensive injuries the Bills had managed to overcome over the season (Milano, White, Jones, Rapp, etc.), Bernard's injury they could not overcome -- he was having way too good of a season (143 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 3 INTs, 5 Pass defensed, 10 Tackles for loss -- the dude was putting up numbers similar to Fred Warner and Roquan Smith this season -- look it up). Bernard plays quick and with a lot of tenacity, and not having him to answer Kelce and Pacheco and call defensive checks was too much of a loss for the Bills defense;
3) The third weightiest reason the Bills lost was because the skill players did not execute to the level of their QB: James Cook again dropped a pass that would've been a TD -- 4-5 yds out from the endzone on a slant with a clear path to the endzone had he caught it. Killer! Sherfield almost wrapped up a big play but couldn't get it done. Then the star no. 1 Diggs dropped a 63 yard beauty which, if he caught it, his chances of breaking that one tackle and going all the way were not too bad at all. That would have been a huge play and a momentum shifter, and if he did get that TD, it would have been Bills up 31-27 in the 4th, or at least the offense would have flipped the field and had another redzone opportunity (they were 3-4 on the night in the redzone) to get into the endzone.
These three main reasons are why Buffalo lost. Again, the TEAM in really important places FAILED and KC made JUST ENOUGH plays to win.
I think people need to be more specific when they're talking about the Chiefs. This is not the worst Chiefs team. Our offense may not be scoring 30 points, but our defense has never been this great either so it kind of balances out to where this is the most balanced team the Chiefs have ever had

For all the drops and missed field goal they want to focus on, the Bills still had a lot of luck. 4 fumbles, yet none of them were turned over. Their last drive McDuffie or Sneed could've had a chance for a pick. Then the next play Allen fumbles, but they recover it back. The only turnover was on the Bills goal line by Hardman. A TD there ends the game. Sure, the field goal would've tied it. But they'd only forced KC to punt once the entire game. There is no guarantee it goes to OT.
