My 01 Cadillac deville recently has a problem where i can no longer pick the direction of the air flow for example from floor vents to defrost vents do you know which actuator controls the direction of air flow mine os permanently stuck on the floor vents

Just a question mine is making a loud clicking noise how do you know which one to replace? The driver side, passenger side or mode? It sounds like it’s coming from behind the radio. Any suggestions? After replacing all three did it fix the issue? Follow-up video?
What i would recommend is taking the under cover from the driver side and while the actuator is making the noise, put you arm in there so you can feel which actuator is the one that is making the noise
My car makes the clicking noise it still blows cold but it Only blows in my defrost and feet would that be the mode door actuator or the blend door actuator?
That would be the mode door actuator because its responsible for the direction of the airflow. The blend door actuator controls the temperature of the air in the cabin

What year vehicle wax this that you were working on? Im having a loud noise on my drivers side in a 2005 STS. Is pretty much like this to replace? What would the cost be for a mechanic to do this?
I believe it is the same process for a 2005 STS. At a repair shop you would probably pay $200 foe labor plus the part

2003 Cadillac Seville STS defrost takes forever to get rid of fogged up windows . What's problem. ? I end up wiping window with towel. Which I hate.

Where is the passenger side blend door actuator?
Its located on the passenger side, right behind the glove box. You have to remove the glove box to get to the actuator

What is weird is the AC works every now and then and blows from the front vents don’t know why it chooses to work when it wants? 🤷♂️
When you say it works every now and then, what exacly do you mean? sometimes it doesnt blow cold?
@@RodriguezRepairs sometimes the air blows through the front vents other times it only blows from defrost vents. Would you be able to make a video how to remove the piece under the steering column. Does it pop right off? But the AC always blows cold.
Does the actuator just come off…can’t seem to get mine to budge…I can feel that is “loose” at the three of the bracket screws, but won’t pull off (the new one separated ok)…any tricks?
Two screw drivers and just wiggle around. It'll come off eventually

Same issue 3screws out, part is loose and not coming off pin. Possible door pin broke jammed. Any suggestions?
