That boat indeed has a lot of room. Very well appointed. That teak looks marvelous in flat finish. Island Packet style. Just oil and go. Excellent job.
Very nice boat! They are a labour of ❤️ love, my favourites Shannon 28, Westsail 28, Bristol Channel Cutter 28, all classic small cruising boats ." GO SMALL, GO SIMPLE,,GO NOW" Lynn and Larry Pardey
A very nice 28feet vessel in very good conditions gratulation!! Well , my boat is also 28feet long and so i can say that this is very good lay out Every time fair winds.. From germany juergen
Great boat and thanks for sharing it. Pretty sure we saw you in Budd Inlet on 4.28. Thanks for your previous video of Boating the Labyrinth of Puget Sound Backwaters. It was very useful as we began our boating in the sound.
Thank you ! There is one scene with the cat making a cameo appearance, just before showing the head, so she's still aboard and keeping the birds off the deck.
A 10/10 yacht! Beautiful joinery, you can hear the drumlike thump as you close hatches and doors. Small point of contention, I think your portholes might be bronze not brass lol!
Everything in the boat is ship shape, the green patina on bronze is beautiful, and I know if it was brass, you'd have it polished. ...a compliment to your seamanship!
Most of the world doesn’t need a shower to liveaboard. I’ve lived on a Erickson 29 for three years and just now getting to plumbing for my shower. I took two showers a day before I became a liveaboard. Now it’s once every three days. You get used to it. They have showers at the marina anyways!
@@SOLDOZER I don’t stink much. I wipe my butt well, and I don’t eat fast food such as nasty Burger King woopers that make the skin greasy and are just plain low class food for broke and lazy Laraza cholos
@@SOLDOZER It's not nasty; it depends on where you live. When I lived in Cambodia, I took two showers a day. In Finland, only once every three or four days.
Unfortunately, Yanmar marine engines no longer come with "Levers", that prop the exhaust valves open. "That's ok, we aren't really set up to hand crank it", people will reply. That's not the point. Those levers will save the day when the batteries are too low to crank it over. Just set the levers, get it spinning with the now useable starter, and she'll fire right up. No need to flip the levers back into place, they will probably do that on their own! The other thing, especially with the 28's, is how "tippy" she is. That's the easiest thing in the world to fix: just load her up, fill the tanks, and/or add some lead ingots (internal ballast)to the bilge. In other words, sink her to her "lines", even a bit beyond if you like. Make sure the toilet bowl rim stays above the new waterline. She'll be all you ever hoped, stiff as a church. Sorry if I sound opinionated, trying to show you what a great boat she can be. She looks a little corky to me in the video. Thank you.
The lever isn't a yanmar part, just a generic 10 ft cable I installed myself. The Ballast/Displacement ratio is 38.71, which makes her stiffer than the usual for a pocket cruiser.
Very nice boat and good review. I always appreciate hearing what the headroom is. Sailboatdata lists it as 6.17, which computes to a hair over 6'2". Is that right or is it as you say 6'1"? Defintely a fan of Shannon here.
Awesome. Everything is so well organized and clean. You're the kind of guy I want to buy a boat from!
A robust , properly built and lovely boat . Great hull profile with a skeg hung rudder. Great purchase
I could definitely see myself living on this

Yes, just lemon oil on the interior teak, works wonders.
The wood work is a work of art.
It truly is, out of reach of today's boat builders.

Thanks, I've put 3 yrs of boat projects into it so far!

Shannon made some great boats. Looks like your’s is in great shape.
FYI: No I didn't sell this boat. Currently prepping for big adventures, coming soon.
Wow! Beautiful!
What a beautiful yacht
Barco fantástico, adoraria ter um igual. Saudações do Brasil
What a lovely boat. A 28 to 30 foot blue water capable boat is a thing of my dreams. Thank you. Liked and subbed.
Thank you !
Great video, and a fantastic boat! Thanks for the ais/nav set up explination too. Have been wondering how to go about that
Sweet sweet sweet ride
Beautiful boat!
Thanks !

Probably me... I began heading for Alaska that day. Thank you for the kind comment.
I like the access to the anchor locker to sort lines at your convenience. The bulkheads are shaped well.
Love the interior wood!! Quite a boat! Hope you OK with all the weather. Take care friend!
Thanks ! The weather hasn't been a problem so far, but I've been in the marina all winter. Hoping your travels are going well also!
wow, super nice boat! Loved the tour!
Thank you !
Cool boat. I had a Flicka 20 from 1985 to 2015. Wish I hadn't sold it. It was blue water boat on a trailer.
Flicka's are one of my favs.
For those curious, there's a 1979 Shannon 28 Passagemaker layout, for sale in Maryland right now. US$64,500
Great seeing you again. Keep the vids coming Captain..!! No cat in this one, hope it didn't mutiny.
Thank you ! There is one scene with the cat making a cameo appearance, just before showing the head, so she's still aboard and keeping the birds off the deck.
@@WaterTrails Ahh of course, there she is... 12:48. Glad to see the admiral on watch !

For the cost of maintaining that boat in pristine condition well you may as well buy a 40 footer
Verry nice and tidy boat , love it

Doesn’t those chain attached to the anchor smell ?
Nope, I always rinse them off on deck before stowing.
Very nice. Add solar and this girl is ready to go
What is your asking price?
I've been using a portable solar panel on trips. Details of price, etc are in the link in the description.

I accounted for light fixtures, etc. I think if one were over 6'1", they'd have to duck to miss some things.
Looks realy nice.
Let me know when you are more motivated to sell.
I know exactly where this is at. Only reason I wouldn’t buy is that it’s a tiller boat. I prefer wheel.
Pull back alittle, too many closeups.
The ports are bronze.
