In answer to your question: NO. He gets any more perfect, the perfect one might get jealous. We need him here, so he can't get any more perfect then he is right now.
In regards to their acting, their chemistry, their on-screen passion... to me as a viewer, Sam & Cait’s acting is “invisible,” it feels like I’m peeking in on a real couple, but Sophie & Richard’s acting feels much more obvious, I’m hyper aware that they are pretending for TV. Jaime & Claire truly transport me to a different time and place. To me, Outlander (the show) is THEIRS, and if ever they’re removed from the story and the others continue on, Outlander is over.

Wonderfully said. Sam & Caitriona transport me to a different world and it is enchanting! Sophie & Richard are skilled actors, but I am just entertained by their performance... not transported to the 18th century :)
Exactly. Well said. Personally, I could do with Bri and Roger and babe tootling off somewhere else. Give me Jamie and Clare exclusively. It's like they're living it, not acting. Love them both.
@@katew1030 Sophie is finally acting somewhat better but not till the last episode, IMO. She rubs me the wrong way anyway, Roger too though not as much. I wish they weren't a big part of the show. Don't need them. But alas, they've not asked my opinion. :-/
@@leighx I completely agree! Her American accent was harsh, as well. Caitriona and Sam have life in their eyes, no matter what scene they're filming! Sophie, while a beautiful actress, does not have that same spark. The show tried too hard to depict her as stubborn and independent, and instead she appeared monotone and brash. Richard appears to also be a skilled actor, but I was not enthralled with his performance and he was not convincing me that he was in love with Bree. I actually couldn't stand him lol.
Bree and rogers relationship CAN NEVER COMPARE to Claire and Jamies like NEVER
I love Roger and Bree but they will NEVER be the Hot couple on this show. At least, not while Sam and Caitriona are on Outlander.
Bailey yeah as soon as they brought that up, i was like “hell no!!” Sorry not sorry?! 🙄 n outlander for me is Jaime/claire. If they r not in it anymore, that’s the end of my viewing!

I love this show. February can not get here fast enough. These sneak peeks are both a joy and a torment. I've read the books, but the show is so different. I want to see what's going to happen. Can't wait.
The four of them behave like a family haha. It’s rare to see costars who genuinely enjoy being around one another.
As wonderful as Roger and Bree are...they DO NOT supplant Jaime and Claire! Whoever started spreading that around, got it very wrong! Jaime and Claire will always be the main ingredient of this show. The other characters add a magical element of their own, adding much to the interest and dynamic of the story. We love them ALL, with their own special qualities. But #1 couple will never change. This story completely revolves around the Jaime and Claire relationship.
I loved the books and now the show. We waited all this time for season 5 .we need more than just a few episodes.
I just imagined the moment i see ep. 1 from. Season 5 for he Frist time.. Hearing the opening song and already have tears in my eyes. It's been a long time. And I stillt don't know why this touches me so bad 😂 the whole series in general. Never had that

When I watch Jamie and Claire I believe every single word they say and it looks really real and passionate. They can really deliver that feeling of love between the characters and you can feel the chemistry. Roger and Bree, in my opinion just don't have chemistry at all and they are just boring. It feels like the producers are trying to let Jamie and Claire disappear more and more and replacing them with Roger and Bree but that's just not the same ...
I’ve just recently started watching some of these you tube videos and I agree. Everyone is so negative about them and I don’t get it. Sam and Cait’s chemistry can’t be duplicated but that doesn’t mean that Sophie and Richard’s chemistry is non existent. Everyone is also really rude about Sophie in general. It’s odd. Richard I will say is my new fave cast member. He seems to be really funny and a ray of sunshine. 😀

Roger is my favorite character in the books and in the series. Not everyone in any age you can name should be a lawyer or a soldier. And clearly Roger is an academic, a scholar, and eventually a minister which is what he was supposed to be in any age
Really stupid question. No contest. Roger and Bree In my opinion don't even seem like a couple most of the time. No Chemistry what so ever.
Haven't really been into the promo for S5 but I will say this, most will agree that the "hot couple" is Jamie and Claire. While I liked Roger and Bree in the books,I just don't feel the writing of them is very good on the show. I don't think Ric and Sophie have chemistry on screen at all and Sophie is very monotone when speaking her lines. I never thought as Bree as a single parent. Claire helped a lot as well as Lizzie and while they are not Roger, she wasn't alone when it came to helping with Jemmy. Cute interview but they are just to tease the fans for sure.

Richard looks fine and everything. But Sam actually looks younger than him, so does Cait.

Love Outlander didn't cope so well with the books after Nb 2 kept skipping some of it very boating in print much better watching it thank you for the series

Although Roger and Bri are supposed to be a couple Sophie actually does some of her best acting when in the company of, Dave Berry (LJG). Too bad plot-wise Outlander can't have those two play opposite of one another. Oh well. Perhaps in another universe.

It's not that I don't like Roger and Bri it's that they aren't the reason I watch the show. Last season it was the Roger and Bri show. Most of us watch for our steamy love scenes and the love story that brought us here. Roger and Bri will never have that. It's not hate it just is what it is. Stop shoving them down our throats. I know at some point Jamie and Claire die in that house but once they do I'm done with the show. Roger and Bri don't have that same chemistry and just won't do it for me.
Donna Lynn! If you've read the books you will know that they are still alive at the end of Book 8. She keeps changing her mind about the release of Book 9. But I think they are probably still alive by the end of that book as well. She keeps saying that the publisher has the say when it's released. I think she likes the idea that after book 8 nobody will know for sure what's going on in the show anymore. She's been on book 9 for a long time. What I don't understand is why she's writing other stuff instead of finishing a series that's being televised and needs it finished. Do we want another GOT. We know how that turned out. Also we wouldn't have to wait almost a year for the next season. That is really ridiculous. Even when they finish filming the season, we have to wait another 3 or 4 more months before they air it. Doesn't make sense to me. And something else, and I know it was Sams idea, but why did he want to don the RED COAT UNFORM. What point was he trying to make. From what I've heard he will be playing both sides, but that won't go over well. He shouldn't be in the war anyway. Hes not too old for the wars but he's too old for the love scenes. Can't have it both ways. Like I said, a lot of contradictions in this show. But I love it. And Jamie and Claire will always be "THE COUPLE".
The best couple is always going to be Jamie and Clair. Roger and Bree do not have much chemistry between them. I felt in season four that they really had to force the romance, and Roger acted like he was entitled.

Not to belittle Sophie and Richard, they can't possibly be the "hottest couple" in Outlander simply because their characters aren't. Claire & Jamie were created perfect and perfectly cast, so... not really a competition, original Frasers will always be the ultimate couple. If it wasn't for them, outlanderverse wouldn't exist as such

Roger's even more of a loser in the books. But don't worry, If you read the books, you'll see that you get your wish- more John and less Roger in the later books.

Nope, they are not the hottest new couple. I do not like their chemistry at all and could do without them. Jamie and Claire are just too perfect and it would be impossible to even compete with them!

Lisa MESSIER What bad mood? Caitriona is the ONLY one who actually does nudity on the show. Sam does not. He hasn’t even removed his pants since S3 and hasn’t used his tongue in S2. So she’s the one who actually has to show her body and mimic dry humping Jamie as he’s fully dressed, I’m cool with her having a HUGE opinion about the sex scenes thanks. The misogyny of this fandom that pounces on her no matter what she does while defending Sam anything has made many realize how sexist women are. It’s shocking.

I think that roger looks kind of angry and I sense tension between him and Sam
I absolutely can not stand "Roger". The character or in real life. He makes my skin crawl. Bree is ok. But it seems like she feels the same at times. Very bad casting. And the writers didn't help as they made him out to be really creepy. NO sir, I don't like him.
While I didn't like Roger's character as much in the TV series, I find him a much more relatable and sympathetic character later in the books. He adapts to the 18th century with a lot of courage, and is much more intelligent about and aware of the fact that he is living in a completely different time than Brianna is. As for the actor, as well as playing the part very well (well, how they wrote him) I think he is actually handsome, funny, and seems very nice to his fellow actors. Season four didn't make him seem very appealing, but I think that will improve.
So pleased I am not alone in this. He also makes my skin crawl. I can't explain it and I know others adore him but to me he is yuck. Bad, bad casting, zero chemistry. I have to fast forward all his scenes!
Good lord, you took the words out of my mouth. For me, his character in the books is even more nauseating. I just can't stand him. I skipped most of his parts in the books. His love scenes with Bree- stomach churning; skipped most of that too, and it wasn't because of Bree. Thankfully, it was pretty much non-existent in the later books. On the other hand, Jaime and Claire's love scenes- couldn't get enough. As they got older, it got even better!
While Brianna is hotter than Claire, Jamie is DEFINITELY hotter than Roger. It's those Fraser genes.

Why does cait balfe need to take over every interview. Seems to be judging everything Sam says. In first few years of series she relied on Sam for support and confidence. With few awards and 6years experience she now seems to totally disrespect him. He seems very uptight and uncomfortable when being interviewed with her. Yes fine on his own. Stay away from her Sam. She is toxic and will u undermine your confidence.
