I loved season 2 finale as well and in terms of audience excitement is stronger, but I think they are referring that season 5 finale has been the strongest in terms of difficulty and breathtaking, there are sooo much deeper feelings, and for them was probably the most intense to film... I agree with that, if it is super difficult to watch I can't imagine how difficult was to feel it in their own shoes! O.O
@@a.s.r.a-1660 Well I posted that BEFORE I SAW the season 5 finale. And Sam was partly correct....from an ACTING standpoint, this was amazing and intense.....after damn near becoming a supporting player in Season 4 , Cait showed us that she is still one of the strongest lead actresses in Television. And NONE OF THEM NOMINATED FOR EMMYS THIS YEAR EITHER. I still like the season 2 finale best but 5's was as advertised.
I’m so happy the show is back. They have been missed. Looking forward to the new season. I also hope Sam will be the new James Bond. He would be perfect.
I find it so strange that some of the fans sternly believe that one, Sam and Caitriona don't like each other (seriously can't stand one another), two, the actors lost their chemistry somewhere toward the second half of season 3, and three, Caitriona is cold-hearted and wants everything to be about her. I have never gotten the impression of any of these scenarios. Sam and Caitriona have a wonderful friendship. The network, writers, Diana, and Sam and Cait all agreed they should become producers, so they did! They have a say in the storytelling. With age and time, remember it's been way over 20 years by now since they first met, and adding on that Claire knows what's to come, a storm is brewing and has been ever since they came to America, so why would their marriage be all about passion and intrigue between the two when all this stuff is going on? The show has smartly told the progression of a relationship and how it changes with time and responsibilities other than just to the two of them. I don't know why people don't like Cait, maybe it's because she's super chill and pleasant rather than overly flirty like society expects women to be, but I think she's brilliant, as are the whole cast of actors. 5x01 was spectacular, can't wait for the rest of the season.
Well on camera, Claire and Jamie's chemistry is still strong. In season 5 ep 1,v While Roger and Bree said their vows, Claire and Jamie look into each other's eyes and immediately remember their own. Saying a line or two themselves. And they give us a sex scene while trying not to wake Jemma! The sexiest grandparents in TV history.
I sometimes think I have been reading different books and watching a different tv series to some people. I know how people look at things in different way. Doesn't mean any of them are wrong. Just different viewpoints. I know in one of the earlier interviews they said they would always be friends, have each other's backs, and always had trust in what the other was doing. I haven't seen anything that changes that. Cait sometimes answers more questions in interviews, but I just think she is better at it, and Sam is happy to let her.
I feel that Caitriona and Sam appear closer this season and it's very endearing. I am a true fan of Outlander and honestly believe the Sam IS Jamie. Jamie's character is kind, somewhat innocent and the type of man who knows how to treat people, and isn't afraid to show his feelings. Good going! Caryl, Clan Ross

I discovered it was on Starz and thankfully I had just signed up for Starz and I was immediately able to watch seasons 4 and 5. I'm anxiously awaiting season 6 and trying to hold back from watching the movie that Sam was recently in with Vin Diesel. The trailer looks awesome. I'm 50 and I've seen a lot of love stories but I haven't ever seen anything as real and beautiful as this love story in Journey between Claire and Jamie in Outlander and all of my 50 years of life. I thought nothing was better than rain and the love between Francis II and Mary Queen of Scots,, and then I saw this. Ahhh it is so good and I don't ever want this show to end.
Love this show. Binged watched it after my daughter told me about it. Can't wait for season 6. Love all the actors especially Claire, Jamie, Brianna and Roger.
Season 5 was the best one so far. It was very engaging and I didn't feel bored for one single moment. I think it's because now there are so many characters we care about and they all have their own storyline or maybe the fact that Caitriona and Sam have a much bigger say in the production now. So Roger and Brees baby is going to be old enough to talk in full sentences this season? Ummm....Okay, that seems like a bit of a jump, since she just gave birth last season.
Book five I believe (haven't read it in a while) is between 1770-1772 so Jem doesn't talk too much in this one. But that is the book might be something completely different in the show! Can't wait for this season to start 🤗☺️
Do we get a passage of time throughout the season? Surely It cant possibly START more than 6 months after Season 4....based on....what's happening the first episode. I know that Fergus and Marsali's kid is about a year older than Jemmy.
As for the book side of things book four ends pretty much where book 5 begins, give or take 6 months or less. With Fergus and Marsali baby Germain was born earlier than in the show. He was actually born in Jamaica and later joined the Fraser's on the ridge in book four.
#Outlander Season 5, the last Episode shook me to the core. It was amazing in every way but I have to ask… Dear Cait, did you cry or give a great satisfying sigh In your trailer, did you think of girls who couldn’t survive Did you find a shoulder to cry on or get a nightmare Did you choose to stay silent, once the shot was fair To me, it stirred memories, unaddressed, unhealed Spitting image of my Uncle, character Lionel, I kneeled My stomach churned as I recalled, I recoiled in pain I was 14, staring at the mirror, red, black and blue, partly sane How I wish, truly wish I could save myself and had a gun Kill him, while he pinned me down and said - it’s a little of bit of fun On the screen the words and images mostly blurred until I heard ‘I survived’ I did too but not a day goes by, wishing, I really really had died My dreams of adventure, always turn into nightmares and screams No one hears, of course, it’s only me, wet pillow, as bedroom light gleams Is it too cowardly to think of dying and yet continue breathing With pestering wounds, still fresh, hidden well, heart’s piercing What a wonderful episode I thought, what a screenplay I recalled, I recoiled, I didn’t want to see another day Then I had to contemplate, one more sunlight, put on another show Pretend, force a smile, pull through, underneath let darkness grow I lost everything that night, my smile, my myself, I repel at my reflection Stories like these break and rebuild me, I go on with little direction Another night, I think of ending it all, another thought of how to do it I close my thoughts, no conclusion, as if stopped half way through the summit I love stories woven with dare, showing truth and despair In reality, there are no heroes, and not everyone is as brave as Claire
hey i'd just like to say that this is a beautiful poem, and I'm really sorry for what you went through. i really hope that things get better and that it doesn't haunt you as much any more. lots of love

Me and my mom are so sad that the new season isn't on Netflix 😢. We literally binges the show 2 weeks ago and when I told my mom there would be a new season she was happy but she had a rip moment haha.
Honestly, I think Starz promotes the show exaggeratedly and that is abusing the actors. They are lucky that the actors seem to get along with each other, but in other casts this would be a recipe for disaster. I know that Outlander has a great fandom, but think about it: in addition to ten months of recording in Scotland, they have to do Emmy Panel, Comic Con, Wizard World, panels in Paris, Paisley Festival, ET USA, ET Canada, Buzz Feed, Good Morning America, Late night shows, Facebook live, Twitter live ... and take hundreds of photos with effusive fans at many conventions. But none of that helps them to be nominated for an Emmy award. The most affected are Sam and Caitriona, who are the stars and obviously have to go to the largest number of events. It is almost slavery. I'm serious, do the rest of the shows do the same?
yes they do. Prestige dramas like this, Game of Thrones when it was one, etc. all spend a lot of time promoting the shows. They are paid to do it, stay in world class hotels and probably travel first class, so it's not like slavery. I'm sure it's exhausting, but it is what they signed up for. As for Emmy noms, it's not related to fan love or promotions.
@@lindamerrill928 Exactly! Yes, in their contracts it's negotiated as such. It most likely is quite exhausting, but it's not ten months each day continuously like LJO 1977 believes.
We saw "Roger" in Amsterdam last weekend with his girlfriend (we assumed) just being a tourist. I initially didn't believe it was him (my boyfriend had insisted it was) until he came into the same store that we were in an hour later.
Watched the first episode of S5 last night..wasnt into the first half especially with Roger singing that cheesy song but really liked the second half of the episode.
There's a scene towards end of EP. 1 when Jamie has donned plaid and speaks to the crowd of pioneers. The camera pans toward Roger and some extras (from Jamie's POV) . On the left of the scene is an extra who appears to wear appropriate costume waist up, but bue jeans with contemporary "slashes" at the knees. Rewind and look because it's a quickly filmed scene. Funny !!

@@liol3409 I believe it's the other side of a coin- they have contracts, it's a huge business, and their income also depends on the number of people watching series and Starz subscribers paying money for monthly membership...but you are totally right, my only hope is that crazy women fans attacking Sam and Cait dont make it so pushy and hard on them, and stop asking the same idiot questions like " under kilt life", telling Sam how sexy he is because its a bit rude for men as well)))
LOL young kids are a treat because they need strength and discipline but then they can be so funny. Small kids are very very clingy and needy and yet now I'm older and my kids are grown and I kind of miss my kids being in that age between 3 years and 7 years of age. I don't miss the teenage years at all but I certainly miss them being small and up to Junior High kids.
I do not like the way Caitrona cuts Sam off when he starts speaking. She has a tendency to rudely interrup others. Even when a question is posed to others about scenes in which she does not feature. Sometimes even shows an actor was in that she was not there for. Particularly when Sam was asked about the Lego batman. When it was passed to Sam, she intercepted it and started talking about it? Not aware that she does this?
One a week... but I like to take time to repeat them from the first ep. and then the 3rd episode. Then due to lack of time, I watch only the previous episode before the new one begins. It's amazing how much more dialoge and story a second or third viewing reveals.
I wonder if any of them read the Books so they have the real idea about what the show should be about instead of putting there ideas out there that goes for the writers!
OMG no. If you read the books you'd appreciate him more. His character is still developing. I thought they portrayed Jamie as a bit of a wimp in season 2 which was so contrary to the books. I hope they develop Lord John Grey more because he has a great back story as well
NO. He's a fish out of water and is trying to adjust to all the things that have happened to him since he went back in time. He is slowly evolving in this new time element. I believe he will emerge stronger and more respected as time goes on. I LOVE Richard's natural Scottish accent!
Love love this show and book series,♥️❤️♥️ love the casts except for Brianna actress, she's really not likable at all even a little that's why I have to fast forward her scenes

Cait isn't bossy. She's the most eloquent and thoughtful when answering questions and because she's #1 on the call sheet usually the cast defers to her. Sam's fans are the worst misogynists always blaming Cait for Sam's shortcomings. If he was as eloquent and answered the questions directly instead if mumbling something unintelligible, maybe his interviews wouldn't be a snooze fest.
Catriona is obviously NOT the most humble person in the cast!! Taking over all the conversations and embellishing it all with wise declarations is b-o-r-i-n-g :-) e-x-h-a-u-s-t-i-n-g :-)

It was amazing in every way but I have to ask…
Dear Cait, did you cry or give a great satisfying sigh
In your trailer, did you think of girls who couldn’t survive
Did you find a shoulder to cry on or get a nightmare
Did you choose to stay silent, once the shot was fair
To me, it stirred memories, unaddressed, unhealed
Spitting image of my Uncle, character Lionel, I kneeled
My stomach churned as I recalled, I recoiled in pain
I was 14, staring at the mirror, red, black and blue, partly sane
How I wish, truly wish I could save myself and had a gun
Kill him, while he pinned me down and said - it’s a little of bit of fun
On the screen the words and images mostly blurred until I heard ‘I survived’
I did too but not a day goes by, wishing, I really really had died
My dreams of adventure, always turn into nightmares and screams
No one hears, of course, it’s only me, wet pillow, as bedroom light gleams
Is it too cowardly to think of dying and yet continue breathing
With pestering wounds, still fresh, hidden well, heart’s piercing
What a wonderful episode I thought, what a screenplay
I recalled, I recoiled, I didn’t want to see another day
Then I had to contemplate, one more sunlight, put on another show
Pretend, force a smile, pull through, underneath let darkness grow
I lost everything that night, my smile, my myself, I repel at my reflection
Stories like these break and rebuild me, I go on with little direction
Another night, I think of ending it all, another thought of how to do it
I close my thoughts, no conclusion, as if stopped half way through the summit
I love stories woven with dare, showing truth and despair
In reality, there are no heroes, and not everyone is as brave as Claire
hey i'd just like to say that this is a beautiful poem, and I'm really sorry for what you went through. i really hope that things get better and that it doesn't haunt you as much any more. lots of love
@@elioraloo4157 Thank you for reading my poem! I really appreciate it. I am working on the healing process... it has been 15 years and I am still working on it. :)
How splendid is Cait?
Sam u are the best ❤
Brillants acteurs dans une belle fresque romantique et historique !!! Bravo !!!
gives me shivers!!!!
The "more" have names too...... Looking after those clicks with SEO aren't you
Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe and MORE? Seriously?
Where is Sams Whishky on sale?
We saw "Roger" in Amsterdam last weekend with his girlfriend (we assumed) just being a tourist. I initially didn't believe it was him (my boyfriend had insisted it was) until he came into the same store that we were in an hour later.
omg that’s sooo cool!!!
Watched the first episode of S5 last night..wasnt into the first half especially with Roger singing that cheesy song but really liked the second half of the episode.
Go back to Season 4 and listen to him sing the ballad when he and Briana are at the Scottish gathering in the future time. Beautifully done!
I love them ❤️
The original pearls were a long single chain not a two strand
There's a scene towards end of EP. 1 when Jamie has donned plaid and speaks to the crowd of pioneers. The camera pans toward Roger and some extras (from Jamie's POV) . On the left of the scene is an extra who appears to wear appropriate costume waist up, but bue jeans with contemporary "slashes" at the knees. Rewind and look because it's a quickly filmed scene. Funny !!
the pearl chain cab be worn in both ways, long and double
6:08, well I really enjoyed episode 12 Catrina.
I see Adso! 😻
I love her 😂
👏👏👏👏❤❤❤I love this song I love you Sam heughan e Caitriona ❤❤🇧🇷
When do we see season 6
Wow Sam is so beautiful 😍
Yes... but Richard is HANDSOME! And that brogue.... oh my !
I like them all.
They are being asked these questions months after they finished the season. They probably don’t remember all the details of every episode.
and they don't want to give away spoilers.
Saludos desde mi pais Argentina ...a los maravillosos actores y a su elenco ...
That's a lovely accent Richard has there 😊 he appeals to me way more than Sam.
I still cant believe that 80% of the viewer's of this show really believe that they actually time travel to the past!!!!🤣👍
Dreamers move the world
Sam seems to be tired - may be of hard work in 2019, and I am sure they are both tired of the same questions from season to season)))

@@liol3409 I believe it's the other side of a coin- they have contracts, it's a huge business, and their income also depends on the number of people watching series and Starz subscribers paying money for monthly membership...but you are totally right, my only hope is that crazy women fans attacking Sam and Cait dont make it so pushy and hard on them, and stop asking the same idiot questions like " under kilt life", telling Sam how sexy he is because its a bit rude for men as well)))
I believed it was shot at a time when he was sick...he said it later in another interview
Good pay for every interview....
love u sam
LOL young kids are a treat because they need strength and discipline but then they can be so funny. Small kids are very very clingy and needy and yet now I'm older and my kids are grown and I kind of miss my kids being in that age between 3 years and 7 years of age. I don't miss the teenage years at all but I certainly miss them being small and up to Junior High kids.
Is this the last season
5 is the newest season, I doubt they would stop there, as long as they have the huge fan base that have gathered and followed since Season 1
Catriona
I do not like the way Caitrona cuts Sam off when he starts speaking. She has a tendency to rudely interrup others. Even when a question is posed to others about scenes in which she does not feature. Sometimes even shows an actor was in that she was not there for. Particularly when Sam was asked about the Lego batman. When it was passed to Sam, she intercepted it and started talking about it? Not aware that she does this?
SPOILER WARNING 507:
So Richard said to him the most challenging Episode was 508, so that has to mean he didn't die did he??! :0 :3 :(
According to the books, no he didn't.
No one ever believed he did in the first place.
Traduz para o português please
Dumbest question: Will each episode be released each week? Or will all episodes of season 5 be released at once?
Caren Kaziyev - Release each week as usual...
One a week... but I like to take time to repeat them from the first ep. and then the 3rd episode. Then due to lack of time, I watch only the previous episode before the new one begins. It's amazing how much more dialoge and story a second or third viewing reveals.
@@64slugirl I have started to do that and I catch so much more then next time I watch
@@64slugirl I agree. I have to do that, too.
i like Jamie very very much
❤❤❤❤
I wonder if any of them read the Books so they have the real idea about what the show should be about instead of putting there ideas out there that goes for the writers!
Jewel I’ve seen Sam & Cait mention that they read the book before they work on that season.
Their
We will never see the end of it... unless we travel to future in Craig . 😩 it has been 4 years since last season?
@@justdana23 Diana Gabaldon, the author, stated that Sam calls her before shooting the season to ask for advice.

Maybe it's just me but this whole interview felt so awkward
Aquí Sam estaba acatarrado
Spoiler... obviously hes not dead then if he gets to chat to his grown son lol. Think we all knew anyway but still
Is the Roger character/actor the weakest and wettest in tv history?
#OUTLANDERSEASON5
Drove she ducklings to the water every morning just like nine
Love love this show and book series,♥️❤️♥️ love the casts except for Brianna actress, she's really not likable at all even a little that's why I have to fast forward her scenes
Is anyone else sooo bored by Brianna & Roger's storyline? I just feel like they have very little chemistry (plus i just personally hate Roger as a character lmao)
this all stars from hollywood ??? no more questions
Can’t I.d. By episodes….

awwww Sam is a sickiepooh
She always say we let him speak for himself...as actors..We....as producers... We...then when he talks he says whatever cause she's said every dam thing speaking over top him.. cutting him off.....We We again...i like how Sophie gives Sam some credit as far as his input..... Roger said cait..cause she is probably more bossy I watched some later interviews with the directors..they seem to look funny sometimes when she talks... She's ok....play the he'll of of Claire Fraser...
Catriona talking about the baby Jemmy's 'that age is so difficult" How would she know, she has no children. :)
I'm sure she's been around other children that age. Sometimes, you don't have to be a mom to know everything.
Everyone knows :) toddlers can be difficult :)
Catriona is obviously NOT the most humble person in the cast!! Taking over all the conversations and embellishing it all with wise declarations is b-o-r-i-n-g :-) e-x-h-a-u-s-t-i-n-g :-)
Because everyone in the cast defers to her. She's eloquent and #1 on call sheet on set. She's the most and unselfish cast member as everyone who works with her points out. They constantly speak highly of her and respect her.
When you realize Richard has been using his own voice in the series LOL
luvvit.... more handsome than Jamie.... perhaps..... !
well, yeah, why wouldn't he?
So has Jamie
Cait thinks OL is all about her so she will fight for herself only. She as usual monopolizes this conversation
bellajean2000 An odd statement considering it’s a Q & A and they all answer the questions equally.
@@jcr-studios I think every Woman that is Envious of Caitriona makes this statement,
and I think it is hilarious. I have read this from women every season. She is the Leading Lady and when you call them on it they get all Defensive. CAITRIONA IS THE ONE THAT PULLED ME INTO THIS SERIES AFTER THE FIRST TWO EPISODES NOT SAM BUT HE IS GOOD TOO BUT THIS IS CAITRION'A FIRST LEADING ROLE AND SAM IS THE ONE THAT GAVE HER THE NERVE BECAUSE HE HAS BEEN AT IT MUCH LONGER. SHE WAS A NERVOUS WRECK AT THE SCREEN TESTING AND SAM CALMED HER DOWN. IF SHE WAS ANY OTHER WAY SHE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO HANDLE THIS ROLE.
bellajean2000
LMAO............SO YOU FORGOT SHE IS THE LEADING LADY ......SMH
@@jcr-studios There are times when Sam is cut off by Cait and does appear to be too dominated. But, he is a shy guy and she isn't as shy in interviews.
@@nancibrismeur55 She's eloquent, he's not.
