    I just made a doll but did not know how to do the hair. I love your technique. Thank you for your tutorial, I made the doll for a afro american darling little girl and needed to know how to make the curly hair and finally found a tutorial video that taught me how to crochet that type of hair.

    That's super cute, I've used this technique for the last 4 years, it really improved the look of my dolls, and for boys hair, if I want it spikey I start from the top down but with the head upside down lol super fun to give them crazy hair colours too.

    I’m sitting here stranding hair too. I tried your way but it’s for a baby and I’m worried about her pulling it loose so I’m adding a square knot.
    I feel like we are long time friends and I’m not crocheting alone 🥰
    This is my very first doll. She has pink and orange verigated skin and has blue hair 🤷🏻‍♀️
    It’s a lesson in diversity - no matter the skin color I’m hoping she loves this doll just like any other.

    I have the book “My Crochet Doll”. The author is Isabelle Kessedjian. Note: the crochet stitches in the book are written for the UK. So a UK double crochet is really a single crochet in the US. But in spite of that,it is a great book.

    • @VoneKevitz
      @VoneKevitz  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If hair is too thick, then strand every other hole or every 3rd hole to space it out. Plus, I reinforce the neck with lots of stitches if the head does not hold up. I talk more about this in my other video about how to the assemble the doll.
